      The individual who put down the fertilizer dumped excess on my lawn when he couldn't get his spreader into his van. I watched him kick at the fertilizer, but didn't clean it up. I have called them twice, and emailed them once with no response. The grass has now died under that spot. I will not be using them again.

      Worst and only lawn service I ever used. Like others have stated, don’t prepay you front. We spent around $600.00 for the whole years worth of treatments and that was a terrible idea. Previously I’ve always done my own lawn work with items from the Grasspad, which work absolutely incredible compared to this garbage. My yard looked great before I tried this service and I just wanted to free up some time, so I gave TruGreen a try. I was told I would get a “soul analysis” and a specific treatment for my lawn. Shocker…neither of those things happened. I had a few pesky bare/dead spots in my lawn that needed some TLC as well. Shocker….my dead/bare spots multiplied and expanded to an area over 10x10 ft wide. How is that even possible? I then some how lost two fruit trees during this process that had no prior issues. I always used proper bug/fungus sprays on my trees and they have always been good to go. My first two treatments started poorly. I have cameras all around my house, so I got to see first hand how the technician never treated one whole side of my front yard, then proceeded to just not do the backyard at all. Called customer service and they sent another person out. The next person uses almost no product at all and once again misses half my property. Called customer service yet again. After a third try, the tech shows up and does another terrible job, and does my whole property in about 6 minutes. I watch and realize there’s no way anything quality could come out of that kind of effort. I call again and a representative says that techs need to go over your yard very quickly so some of their products don’t burn your grass. Fast forward to like treatment 5-6, my thick, green lawn that I had prior is completely gone. I have about 25% of my yard burned/bare spotted and neighbors to the right and left of me who don’t do anything to their lawns at all, both have better lawns than me. I call to cancel my service because I was told initially that there is a 100% guarantee. It turns out that’s also a lie. I got half of my money back and a quarter of my yard ruined. I don’t recommend this company at all. They may have been good in the past, but whatever happened recently, steer clear.

      I received a postcard in the mail with a special offer, so I called. The emailed quote was much higher than I had received from other companies, so I ignored it. Two days later, I get a phone call from a guy named Mark. He said he works for TruGreen and drove by my house. He said "We can make your lawn look really good!" I told him that the quote I received was much higher than their competitors. He said, "Well, I can certainly beat that first quote you received by a lot!" I told him that I wish he would have called yesterday, because I had just committed to another company. Without saying anything, he hung up. I own 16 other homes here in St. Joseph and was interested in getting a quote from him for those properties since I hadn't yet hired a lawn treatment service for them. I wasn't sure if he actually hung up on me, or we were just disconnected. So I tried calling back the number he had called me from. It went straight to voicemail. So I waited a couple of minutes and tried calling again. Voicemail. I waited a few more minutes and tried calling again. No answer... voicemail. About a minute later, he calls me back and says "Why the hell do you keep calling me???" I told him that I thought we had been disconnected. He said, "You told me you had hired someone else!" I replied, "Yes, but I own 16 other properties here in town and thought you could give me a bid for those." He hesitated and then said, "But I'd have to look up all of those properties." Hmmmm.... of course he would. Isn't that his job??? I said, "Yes you would... do you have another suggestion as to how I could get a quote?" His reply was extremely rude and didn't even make sense. I asked him his name again, and he said "What's YOUR name???" I told him David... and then I said, "Isn't your name Mark?" He reluctantly confirmed that it was. I told him to nevermind... and that I wasn't going to put up with his rude behavior. I was so shocked at the way this guy treated me, I thought I should report it to his supervisor. So I called the Kansas City TruGreen number. It automatically goes to a national call center. They have no way of connecting you with a local person. I got transferred around from person to person... all of them clueless. Again, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTACT A LOCAL PERSON. I came here to Google a number to see if I could find a different one... nope... same local number shows up, but it automatically transfers to the national call center. Unbelievable! I start reading the horrific reviews of this company... and it looks like they have ZERO customer service, they use high-pressure sales tactics, and their work is substandard. Even more surprising are the "cut and paste" responses to each review from the company. These responses are not addressing the complaints/reviews... they have about a half dozen "canned" responses that someone simply does a "cut and paste". No substance at all in the responses... which just goes to further show you that this company doesn't care. They are a big machine designed to take your money and that's it!!! I'll bet you'll see one of their "cut & paste" responses following my review too! AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
