My service was scheduled for a particular day and no one showed up. They rescheduled for later in the week. That was fine; however, no one ever showed up and when I contacted the crew they claimed it was due to inclement weather, which was completely untrue since there was no inclement weather on those days. They rescheduled me for a few days later and still never showed up. Contacted them again and they told me they couldn’t come to my house on the scheduled day due to technical issues with the system that would not allow them to gain access to my address. Fine. Rescheduled for today and was told that he would be at my house in two hours. When I arrived home, they clearly never showed up. I’ve had it with this company and the crews they employ. My parents also used this company and had to fire them. They paid for services that the crews were not performing even after being asked server all times to do so. Obviously these crews are being allowed to do whatever they want when they want. I would give them zero stars is I could.

This was a lifesaver for me. I have minimal lawn care needs (mowing a small yard—weekly or bimonthly depending on the season) and want to spend as little time as possible dealing with my lawn. This service has allowed me to toggle-on reoccurring mowing service in the spring… and mostly relinquish all my lawn-upkeep responsibilities to the crew. Occasionally, I need to see details about the current week’s service, to adjust the mowing frequency, to use a different payment method—all are easily accomplished within the LawnStarter app. Otherwise, I just set it and forget it! Previously, I tried a few other apps/services for my lawn care needs, but found them to be lacking: inconsistent results and schedules, too much messaging (on an ongoing basis) to coordinate with provider, an app-initiated increase in rates after a few weeks of using the same crew for a reoccurring service, etc. I switched to LawnStarter 18 months ago and have not encountered any such issues. My own experience has been positive, primarily due to my excellent crew: consistent, punctual, quality workmanship, careful and respectful of my property, and communicative regarding any weather-related delays. Given the other reviews, it seems that customer experience may be contingent upon the crew or lawn care provider assigned to you… so your mileage may vary.
