I prepaid for a year's service with Green Earth Solutions and am attaching pics of what my front yard looks like after the year; it's in much worse condition than when I began the service. They spot treat weeds that they see while missing the majority of the weeds. I would walk the yard with the technician and point out areas that needed treating; I shouldn't have to do that. Their solution to any dead areas (that result from their lack of adequate treatment) is for me to resod. I'm paying for the service and shouldn't be having the dead areas. Other customers seem satisfied but I certainly wasn't. I think it's interesting that they made zero effort to get me to continue service after my contract period expired; they knew what poor condition my yard was in.

Hello Doug, if you recall...you disrupted and held off service for 3-4 months prior to your "lawn issues" this year. Certain agricultural products are timed for certain times of the season...even when that doesn't fit your schedule. We follow Federal labeling laws. If you miss the window for application like you did, adverse effects can occur. Our agronomic programs work great when you stay on schedule and follow our professional recommendations. Unfortunately, you did not. That's why we deactivated your account. Good luck to you.

Green earth solutions has been a fantastic company over our last 2 years of service. They are courteous and professional, but most importantly punctual, which is so rare in today’s times. We tried some of the big name companies prior to discovering a locally owned company and would never consider returning. If you need lawn treatment I would highly recommend GES

AVOID! Switched to them after some neighbors had some success with. I've never had so many problems with my yard before, even BugOut did a better job. We have a small front yard too! With GES I had to constantly call or email, never once did I with my previous company. My guess is they aren't putting enough down and are definitely not monitoring enough. Owner just went off on me over the phone blaming the weather. Ah, don't be in the lawn business in Florida if you can't handle the weather sir. Photos are from July 2019 and then today. Same one tiny area, lol. If you want your yard to consistently look like this, Green Earth Solutions is the way to go. There are other areas still recovering form chinch bugs on other side of the driveway just didn't have a photo.
Response from the owner
Mr. Leary, the owner did not ever utter one word about the weather being the problem. What he outlined was a naturally occurring soil borne fungal pathogen called rhizoctonia aka "large patch" that is quite common in St. Augustine grass in the fall. A patch developed in your yard which is not at all unusual. He offered to provide a free fungicide treatment for you...in addition to the other 3 FREE SERVICE VISITS he provided you in less that half of a growing season...that were largely unnecessary...but to appease you...he granted FREE work for you. Do you work for free? Very few people or companies do. If you find someone working for free, please send them to us. You decided that you know more about horticulture and entomology than Bug Out, Green Earth, and all the other people in town that have spent their lifetimes achieving formal, accredited degrees in the industry and treating millions of square feet of turf every day of the year, which some refer to as experience. In fact...you stated "you could do better yourself"...so the owner granted you that wish by cancelling your account...which made you angry. You simply do not know what you are talking about...that is why you left Bug Out to begin with...claiming they weren't doing their job either. And you'll do the same with your next service. Do you see a pattern here? You will go onto hire your next company only to end up pointing the finger at them as well when natural things happen in your lawn...and they will. You apparently think that some service is going to prevent nature from occurring because you give them a few dollars. Sorry, but that's not how it works. So you paid for 5 treatments, and had 3 free unnecessary service calls because you're impatient, won't allow the program time to work, and have unrealistic expectations. Your "tiny' front lawn is not a piece of carpet. It changes with the weather conditions. That is not the same as "the weather caused it." Just so you know in the future...an agronomic program consisting of 8 treatments includes 8 treatments. Much like an 8 cylinder car needs 8 spark plugs for a tune up...5 won't get it done. You were about halfway thru a program and complained the entire time that things weren't perfect. Check it after the program is complete next time for a realistic assessment of what is actually going on. We're sorry it didn't work out. Hopefully you'll have more realistic expectations with the next 5 companies you decide to hire. But one thing is certain, if you cannot recognize rhizoctonia and understand how it develops...you certainly cannot manage your own lawn. Best of luck to you. A1 sod will be there when you're ready...you should keep their number on speed dial. You'll be needing it.
