I was VERY impressed how early my driveway was plowed (before 6am)!  Then when I came home from work yesterday what a pleasant surprise to see that my driveway was plowed again and all cleaned out edge to edge.  I am truly impressed with your Blake Miller's service and their crew.  I was planning to widen the driveway but with my bad back, I was not looking forward to it and my wife who has some health problems and can no way shovel snow.  You have no idea how much coming home to see a nice clean driveway meant to me.  After a hard day at work, this just made my day. Please thank your crew for such a well done job and please thank the owners on running a business that focuses on the customers not on making a quick buck.  KUDOS TO BLAKE MILLER!!!!!!!

We have had consistently fantastic experiences with Blake Miller Lawn & Landscape over the past few years.  Lawn mowing, yard clean-up, plowing, and more, they are professional, responsive, timely, and do high quality work.  Highly recommend.

I'm long term customer of the Blake Miller's lawn and snow plowing services.  I appreciated their quick responses to my calls.  Yesterday they came to make extra plowing to remove pile of snow at my driveway entrance to enable our cars to drive out.  Thanks.

1/19 - Update - 3/5 Stars

Blake Miller himself called me several days after my 1 star review a month ago.  He explained that they'd try to do better. Although it did feel like I was hearing excuses vs an apology, the service has improved 100%. A true night and day comparison. So (as I suggested) it's obviously possible to do a much better job than what was happening.

After several major snow storms since my last review, the snow has been getting scraped to bare pavement and there is no longer an excessive amount of clean up to do afterwards. The driver is obviously much more careful about not driving Willy Nilly off the driveway anymore as well.  It is clear the operator is now doing their job more like it was their own property. Their timeliness and frequency appears to have improved as well.

As the season goes on if the level of service continues to remain at this level I will update my review again and possibly consider them for some landscaping work.
Until then, given that I had to go out of my way and complain to get this level of service, I will only add 2 stars.

12/19 - initial impression - 1/5 Stars -  Stay away from their plow service.

Myself and several neighbors unfortunately lost a local plow contract as the individual downsized so I had to try Blake Miller this year.   I never had any problems with my previous plower.  I frequently plow at my workplace so I know what can be done when a snow plow is properly operated with care for your surroundings.

1st of all - THEY ONLY BACKBLADE  - this is not listed in their contract and had I known, I would never have chosen them.  I payed for snow "PLOWING" not  snow "PULLING".  May as well go out with a leaf blower and blow the top inch of snow off.  Backblading leaves a layer of snow and ice perpetually on the driveway which is especially problematic with a sloped driveway.
Since they backblade, they tend to leave a snail trail down the middle of the driveway that I have to go and shovel.  I've had to clean up the driveway manually multiple times because they've done such a poor job.  The time I called and complained, because I had a delivery scheduled and needed a clean driveway, they showed up over 3 hours later after the delivery happened so it was pointless.

2nd - they show up 3 to 4 hours after snowfall ends.  I got an email notice that they were out plowing at 5:39PM on December 17th, this was a snowfall of barely 3 inches and not an unexpected emergency event -- They showed up at 9:30PM to plow, no -  I'm sorry, backblade my driveway and did another terrible job where you would question if anyone even came.   I leave for work at 6:30 AM - not once have they been here before I leave, or even close to 6:30.   Their contract states "best effort" to show before 6:30.  My previous plow service would show up right around the time I was leaving.

3rd-  they only put out two snow stakes for a 50ft+ long driveway and then state that the owner must maintain them or pay for their replacement.  They knock at least 1 or 2 over every time - which I have to then dig out of the snow or risk being charged ( I assume since they are going in reverse and trying to backblade the whole driveway).
I put out extra because 2 stakes is asinine, especially with a curve and parking area at the top of the driveway  --which oh I forgot to mention, they don't plow that either.

4 - the only spot they don't backblade, at the end of the driveway by the road, they've destroyed the lawn more than I could ever imagine.  They state they'll repair it in their contract, but it's still just careless and poor plowing techniques to rip up so much lawn to begin with.

Outstanding Company!!  I called Blake Miller Lawn and Landscape on the fly when I decided to do a quick landscaping project in my backyard last fall.  I hadn't planned on it and I simply saw their sign in my neighborhood and decided to call.  Within three weeks I had:  Initial contact, explaining what I needed, where and why; an estimate in hand to perform the services I requested, and the work was done and completed.  It was a two day job.  The crew was fantastic, the price was very fair and competitive, the communication was spot on.  I highly recommend them and won't hesitate to call them again when I need landscape work done!!  Great, great company!!
