If I could give you a zero, I would because you don’t even deserve a one star! I pre-paid for the entire year in February 2021. TruGreen made my yard look TERRIBLE! In October 2021, I received an email that my debit card expired and they wouldn’t come apply my final treatment until the CC information was updated in their system. If you recall, I had already pre-paid for the entire year, so this should have been my first red flag. I called to inquire about a full refund since my yard looked so bad, but found out they would only refund a partial amount which was less than the last full treatment. I said, forget about it and updated my card information so they would come do the final treatment. After they left, I called and asked TruGreen to cancel my account and put me on their Do Not Contact list for this year. Fast forward to March 2022, they came back and applied a treatment without asking, which was trespassing and pulled $50.98 out of my account without consent. This is DOUBLE what I paid per treatment last year, so how is this legal? I’ve gotten the run around for over a week from multiple people and STILL haven’t received a refund. DO NOT USE this company! They are a total scam and waste of money!

We’ve been using TruGreen Tree & Shrub service since 91 and had no issues. I skipped the service for a year and started back up after a new landscaping project. I had a good relationship with the old Tree & shrub guy, so when the new tech came out for first service, I was taken aback by his demeanor and telling me what he wouldn’t be doing. Non the less, I let it go. Second visit, Trudy calls, text pops up, a TruGreen stake in the yard but no service. I thought something may have messed up and I’d catch him next visit. Third visit, Trudy calls, text pop up, no stake, no service. I call customer service. I’m told he said he completed both treatments. Aside from the fact I was home all day both supposed treatments, the bug eaten leaves of my shrubs show he didn’t spray. I requested a supervisor contact me. One week later, nothing. I call again and am told someone will contact me. Meanwhile another treatment is set up. Trudy calls, text pops up and tech arrives. Parks in the drive that blocks my neighbors. I ask him to move and point where to park on my property. He proceeds to tell me he can’t park there. What!?! Then I ask why he hasn’t performed the service he said he has and I’m told I underpaid for my service and he shouldn’t be wasting his time. What!?! I ask him how much he thinks I’ve paid and he states a much lower price. I should be so lucky… He then decides to leave as I’m being rude to him. Possibly I am, since I told him I would be speaking to his supervisor. He chuckled and said his supervisor wouldn’t talk with me. Well, he’s correct. His supervisor hasn’t bothered to call. I get customer service which really can’t do anything. Meanwhile, I’ve prepaid for these services I’ve not received. I can’t believe TruGreen has dropped so low in their standards. I think of all the people not home when their services are performed. How many receive the calls, texts, and stakes in their yards assuming the service has been done? This is fraud. If circumstances have caused businesses to struggle for staffing, being open and honest with your customers is better then sending this tech around to cheat people. It’s bad enough to have a mouthy tech tell you what he can’t & won’t do, but to lie about what you’ve paid and say it’s not worth his time? Nonsense. More importantly, it’s obvious the tech truly believed he could get away with this behavior and since his supervisor hasn’t contacted me, he obviously can. Unfortunately I have to strongly recommend against using TruGreen. You can’t guarantee service.

I had three technicians come and service the yard. The fourth DID treat the complete yard and took pictures. Apologized profusely. Each only completed part of the yard! I asked for my money back. No go. Do not waste your money!
