I have just about every service TruGreen can offer. Today, the mosquito service was scheduled to come to my home. I was looking forward to that since the mosquitos this year are terrible. They pulled into the driveway and 2 minutes later pulled out of the driveway. Later I got a notification that I had cancelled the scheduled service, which of course I had not done. So, I called the number provided and after going through the horrendous process of auto self service, which was awful, I was told that my wait time to talk to someone was 20 minutes. I was offered the option of getting a call back in 20 minutes. That was 3 hours ago. Never heard back. TruGreen offers pretty decent service, but their customer support function is THE WORST I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED ANYWHERE. I do not recommend TruGreen Ypsilanti. Until they learn to not arbitrarily cancel service, blame it on me and then not return my call, they are off my list. Horrific.

I've had TrueGreen for almost 4 years, cancelled everything last year because my lawn was yellow, full of weeds and dandelions. For some reason they did an "auto renewal" which I cancelled during the automated phone call. They still showed up, tried to call the customer service and was told that I still have to pay for a service that I cancelled through THEIR phone call. I have been trying to cancel the entire day and have been on hold for hours. DO NOT USE TruGreen, horrid customer service and they will burn your lawn!

I had hired TruGreen to do two things. Fertilize my lawn and spray for mosquitos. I could not have been more disappointed with the service. So much so that I had to request to cancel it. My yard is 2/3's of an acre. One week, the guy who sprays fertilizer, pulled up in front of my house. Got out of his truck while on his cellphone and stayed on his cell phone while he sprayed some of the front yard and tiny bit of back yard. Not even half of my yard. Still on the phone he got back in his truck and left. I called and explained the problem. Another guy came day two to fix the issue. He explained he could not spray everything and had to guess where to spray because if he did a double application it would kill my lawn. Well, he was right. He doubled over some of the back yard where the first guy did and it killed my lawn. A nice 20x20 foot area all dead. This is just one example of the many times they did not do the full job. It happened with both fertilizing and with the mosquitos. In November I contacted them to make sure everything was paid for and over. I canceled my service. They told me I had a zero balance. 2 weeks later they sent me to collection for two mosquito sprays. When I called to ask what was going on, they explained they must not have looked at the right account. Now I have been fighting that bill for 3 months. They have only called me back once about this issue. They do however call me every week to offer me service for next year. When I tell them about my experience, they tell me there is nothing they can do. I would recommend going to someone local. This big corporation just does not care and has poor customer service in my humble opinion.
