April 11, 2022 I had one of the best experiences at Home Depot. The Gallup location off of exit 20 I-40 has a very respectful and professional team. I had the pleasure of meeting Elijah Blue and Tabitha and other associates that were more than accommodating. They answered all of my questions and made me feel very satisfied as a loyal Home Depot customer. Thank you all for what you guys do. Keep it up. Thank you again.

the Gallup Home Depot is lacking!  despite a recent good experience with the store mgr. helping me at checkout.  today I drove 50 miles one way to get wiring to go between sprinkler head and timers. no one knew what I was taking about,  but agreed someone would need it.... also the garden section is stocking plants and trees that WILL NOT grow in this region!

The only person that was good was the manager.  I spend over 3k and I was waiting for ever just to get a glass shower that I wasn't able to take down my self. I talked to 5  workers asking for help and all they said i will call someone but I never got help until I asked for the manager.  This is my place to shop and never had problems until today.

1 star just cause the customer service is awful, the workers just stand around, side eye you, with the look of "please don't ask me anything" look on their faces, instead of stepping up and asking if you need help. Another example of bad customer service, my sister who is just about 5' tall and asked the cashier if she could get some help wit 40lbs bags of wood pellets, the cashier just tells her "go ask those guys over there" so my sister goes over to a group of guys just standing around and they tell her "you have to ask the cashier for help" she goes back to the cashier and she tells my sister that the one and only person to help load is on break! So my sister tells her, "are you serious!? You guys only have one person too help load?" And at the register area there was literally 10+ workers just standing around and talking and 6 male employees outside the loading doors just watching one guy on a lift fixing a vent on the roof. So out of the 16 people, they only have one person to help customers? Bad bad customer service. I would suggest you support local businesses, instead of this chain store, at least the local businesses help you if you ask for help.

Very convenient option, this place is my go to when I don't want to go to an over crowded Wal-Mart across the street. Here I was able to purchase some shower basket suction shelves to hold my shampoos, body wash and soap. Also a loofah hanger. Also a shower mat. No crowds. In and out. Very satisfied with my purchase.

I've  been going to Home Depot for most of my garden plants. I can always find what I need here. I bought my cooking stove here. Great price.

Its open late which is really nice. This is a much needed location if you're running late.

UPDATE: The lumber department loading system Failed today. We waited about an hour to get loaded up and they didn't know where their lumber associates were. I hope they pull it together.

They have most things in stock. Some areas could be better kept up. Some days it's hard to get someone to help you. Like most businesses it has been difficult to get good help.

Worse Home Depot I've ever been in. Customer service employees missed the day of training titled "How To Be Cordial and Informative To Customers".

Quick easy found everything I needed. Staff asked me three times if I needed help in passing.. awesome!

We ordered rain catch barrels to get delivered to the store. I had only gotten notice for one arriving, the customer service person got our rain barrel and then noticed our other one had come in and caught me before I left so I could get it. Great customer service, saved us a another trip 100 mile round trip.

I did not find all the things that I needed but most of the time its well stocked

I needed 14 sheets of siding and called to see if it was available. They had more than enough, so I tried to make the purchase over the phone. They don't do over the phone transactions...So I got online and tried that route. The website said they didn't have enough stock to fill my needs. If they're not going to do phone sales based on eyeball inventory, they need to keep their online inventory more accurate.

The employee that we encountered was very helpful and super friendly. He found what we were looking for with no problem. It was a good nice experience he had an awesome attitude. He over heard us talking with another employee who was kinda having a hard time understanding what we needed, so he kindly interrupted & said he thinks he knows what were talking. So he left what he was stocking and found the exact peice that we needed. We've looked at several stores but it was always the wrong one..thank god for his kind soul. Now our fridge can produce ice for us. Lol. Recommended.

Loving the fence ideas and options to buy, the plastic fence are a little obvious so I personally don't recommend for the esthetics.

Customer service is far from their mine in GALLUP and if your a relative or friend to a worker.  They will jump through whoops for them and talk for hours. Management too.

Customer experience needs improvement. Instead of offering help, I was chased out of the aisle to make room for a forklift and no one directed me to find a shower valve, I was pointed to the wrong aisle.

Quote was done quickly with a lot of mistakes. Customer service at prodesk wasn't helpful. Was told by him that there was no one to assist me n was closing in that dept in 30 mins. But was still opened after an hour later.         And I asked one of the sales assist n he was help. What I needed was not in stock or either number to quote didn't match.  Now I'm wondering if I place order will it be ready for curbside pickup because I'm thinking if its paid in full n picking it up at date schedule will they run around the last minute? Uncertain if I should place order.

Went here to get paint for house. I had to actually yell to employees to get help at paint department. They were just standing around talking and laughing. Please be more attentive home Depot employees.

Decent place. Very busy. Never had a big problem. If I do, associate will generally find someone who can help. If you need help loading, you have to ask but they're willing. One time I needed a big order but i wanted to be charged once. In this situation I needed to make several trips but they don't hold items at the store. I had to be charged for each section of the order. I was told no a couple of times until i found the right person and she generated a work order where I can have at least a week to pick up my items with one charge on my HD credit card for the 2 year no interest financing. So don't get frustrated just keep asking until someone can find a solution that can work for you. You need to come up with questions of your own to ask.

Have over protective Loss Prevention officers who follow every move as if you are going to steal something very uncomfortable shooing at this location

Update: ordered my windows from Farmington, they appear better.  Now I’m trying to get a contractor to look at my windows for installation. Gallup Home Depot doesn’t seem to understand how scheduling works or look it up. Rescheduled twice!!  So frustrated! Such a dysfunctional place!!!

I wanted to find out how to measure replacement windows and maybe order windows. I had out side and inside measurements.  The guy was helping me with an Anderson windows, a rude lady interrupts and instead of finishing to help me, he gets up and help her.  As he is leaving he says he couldn’t fine the window type I wanted. Really?!  These people don’t know customer service or their products.  Then I wanted to order a tuff shed, the customer service desk called the guy and he says he is going to lunch. These Navajos are worthless!!! Where’s the manager?!! Customer behavior reflects on them!  This was today 1/30/2021 at 2pm.

Even though the store is always busy, there are sales associates wandering everywhere. And you would think this would make for better service, nope. Getting anyone to assist you is neigh impossible and forget just walking up to one. They get a glazed look and tell you it is not their department.

Unless you know how to navigate Home Depot already I would not willing ask anyone to enter this center. Call or order it online.

Good place to get home improvement stuff. BUT I had to drag a 70+ pound rug I wanted to buy onto my cart. No help when needed, the service guys just walk pass and said be with you shortly.

Last time was the same, bought a 50 gallon water heater, no help. Two customer guys offered to load it for me when the associates were suppose to. Also, the female associate was to busy flirting with her Male colleagues to help anyone. Reminds me of a high school hallway of H.D employees. 🤦‍♀️

I have never been so thankful for great customer service. I was gifted a circulating fan, Ryobi ($49.99), but when I was in HD last Friday, the new Ryobi Air Cannon was on sale for another $20. I asked my family if they'd be upset if I exchanged it, of course they said no. So today, Monday, I went in & returned the small one, when I found the Air Cannon, it was $149. The manager, considering I'm 80 miles from the store (extremely remote) & missed the sale end by one day, was gracious enough to extend that sale price to me. My barn has a new fan that runs on my 18v 1+ Ryobi batteries. This year has been a high construction year & Home Depot has been spot on for all I needed.

That's the last time I ever go into that store again Lost prevention likes following me next time why don't you guys carry my cart full of items and why don't you pay for it for me if you think I'm stealing or think what you want just remember who pays your salary lay off looking down my back I'm reporting this store to their corporate office

My cashier was very friendly and helpful. It was refreshing to see that now especially in a place where not everyone is nice.  Our cashier  should be an example of how people who work in customer service Industry should be like. Thank you to the cashier whose name i did not get for which I'm sorry.

I had asked a person for help with having a duplicate key made. The person I had asked for help said they'll be right back, I waited 30 minutes. When a woman shows up for key she was helped right away. The associate did not even ask me for assistance. I was clearly holding a key In hand and he walked away. I had asked others and nothing happened.

Store itself is awesome everything you need.  But twice I've ordered from here online and upon arrival I checked in at Customer Service and cashiers and Commercial accounts to inform i was there for my pickup each time.

Twice they've told me to just wait outside in loading dock and someone will bring my order out, twice I've sat in loading dock for over an hour waiting for my orders.

I've several times walked back in to inform I'm still waiting then they say so and so bringing it out. 1st trip they forgot about my order after I've asked 3times then the 2nd time I've waited they just left my order in the cashier walk path.. The staff need to design and have better communication with each other or each dept.

Worst service. I ordered online for a simple adapter and after 4 hours and two people telling me they still had to go find the adapter when it said two in stock. Nothing. I went inside looked and none on shelf the gentleman in that area said people steal them as an excuse. The day before two workers telling me the adapter wasn’t even made anymore which was a lie cause they just didn’t know. Not much help at all.
I’m still waiting for the credit back to my account after four days.

Their stock quantity is often times incorrect on their website. They also refused to accept a return because I bought it at a different Home Depot.  Today marked the third time I’ve ordered something just to have someone tell me it’s not their fault with no help. Since Home Depot pays people to not do their job, you guys should put me on the payroll. I can tell people “it’s not my section” and “it’s not my fault” all day. I’ll start tomorrow since you need so much help.

Poor customer service. Ordered pro panels and they failed to order everything that was needed. You ask about something and they’re not even courteous enough to show you specifically where the products are located.

I ordered my door and door hardware online. Only got to pick up the door. I was told the door hardware was a special order and would arrive on Jan 7.

try calling to the pro desk to get price quotes no answer or put on hold for 30 minutes and still no help. So I had to call the main headquarters to complain and gave them my list of materials to get price quotes. Can't rely on these guys. Bad customer service and bad service after all. I don't want to give a star but its the only option to post this on here.

I like shopping here. However, on my last visit I was surprised when  HomeDepot employees assisted an elderly couple by putting in a door with windows outward and the guy was trying to tie a skinny self help rope and fasten it. So picture this, couple had purchased a door with windows and trying to tie the skinny string with back hatch car door on top of a fragile glass window. Come on people that work at Home Depot. I just had to help that couple out, I asked the guy that was trying to fasten the rope to undo it and turn the door around with the window turned closer to front of inside car. We just happened to have a tie-down with a wench on hand do we can give it to them, and secured the door for the elderly couple. I was so amazed how carelessness lack of training the individuals had or receiving. Plz take consideration when helping any elderly or any that needs this type of securing a purchased item. Thanks so much.

Employees always go out of their way to help you, especially the cashiers

Worst Home Depot customer service. I have visited other stores within NM far busier than this one and had great service. In Gallup, they walk around and when you ask for help, they state it's not their department.  Can NEVER find anyone to assist me. Only reason I shop there is because in Gallup, we have few options.

Customer service stays at the top! I had an issue with one of the stores associates told his manager, all the manager said was we're short staffed! I told the general manager about the situation and all I got was" did the situation get finished?" Nobody cares about taking care of customers and doing a good job at their job. You wanna make America great again!? Start from the top and clean house of all the trash!!!

Nobody wanted to help. I've asked 2 people to help but no one showed up and we've been waiting for 30mins. There was hardly any costumers in the store. Saw works just walking around not helping. This place blows.

Albert the Manager was great!! He went above and beyond with much appreciated customer service. He was very patient and SUPER helpful. Thank goodness for managers like him!! Cashier Toni was the best! I loved all her good advice and help. She was very nice and just the help I needed too. I love this Home Depot. I'd go here over my other locations to shop because it's always a great visit with top notch caring customer service. I give them 6 stars!!

Been to this Home Depot many times. My wife and I bought a foreclosed house in Gallup last year that we fixed up and so we have had to frequent this store a lot lately. It is almost always a hassle: Online orders say they are ready for pickup, and then we go to the store and they aren't ready; We ask for home delivery and they deliver it to the store instead; We had to order 4 new windows for the house, each obviously needing to be replacement windows and not new construction windows, and 3 of the 4 that they got for us were new construction windows and not useable even after we specifically talked with the doors and windows employee and ordered them specifically through him; If it says an item is in stock at the store online, in reality, it only is about 50% of the time; If it says it will delivery by a certain date, that only happens about 50% of the time as well. If there were another home renovation store in town, we would go there before this Home Depot every time. But since there isn't, we will no doubt continue to be disappointed and frustrated by the 1-star service that this store provides.

Everything is good about this store its just that theirs very few employee's to ask for help finding a sertain thing or item it take about a few minutes to find an employee to help but i do recommend this place because they have useful items for your home.

Home depot employees, PLEASE hire someone just to man the phone and answer customer calls. Get rid of automatic answering machine.. Your phone shouldn't be ringing and ringing and ringing. Called multiple times no answer.

Always stocked and have just about everything you'll need for building and fixing your home.   Good to excellent service.   Once in awhile there's a fluke where you can't get help but it's rare.

Very unorganized isles, price of an item can't see, nobody to help in cordless tools isle . I wanted a m18v battery..  I wanted 2.  .but no help or battery's anywhere..  sell tools with no battery's.

I was honestly disappointed with my local Home Depot for several reasons. One being the fact that the installation process for a water heater wasn't what was advertised online, an there was no one at my local store that was certified to install a water heater much less give the info I needed on the subject of water heaters. The 2nd reason being the some rude cashiers on the evening that I went in to do a return because an employee from the day shift had insisted on giving my mom the wrong pipes needed to fix our problem, even though she had all the correct sizes written down by me. The 3rd issue I had was being charged incorrectly for a few items because it wasn't in their system or so the cashier couldn't find the correct item and I got over charged. One thing that was good about this location was one specific employee who was very knowledgeable on the topic of pipe fittings and was very helpful in helping me find what I needed an hour before closing time. He went out of his way to explain things in detail to me that others couldn't do. This has been my experience with my local Home Depot.

Sandra Rodriguez the assistant manager was very rude and demeaning to a Native American elder! Refusing to help!! The other employees that were standing around were just as guilty!! How can you let your employees treat and talk to your paying customers that way!! If it was a white "elderly man that mean thing she said would not have been said, and the employees standing around would have helpe helped!! So I will NOT shop at you store any more!! I happen to be a well educated Native American woman that has a great job!! And I'm always out in my garden's!! I will take my money 💰💰 some where else!! I will share this story. Shame on you!!

The staff completely ignored us, first time that has ever happened at a home depot. Usually we have a number of employees offer to help. Plenty of employees around, all were too busy with conversations between themselves.

There was a very short line when I got there so wait wasn't veye long. Once inside I was able to the item I needed easily.  The checkout process was just as smooth.

Love the options, but feel customer appreciation is lost as the company is to busy setting goals that do not help them provide services to everyone. The front service desk is always understaffed not able to help locate packages in a timely manner. The company relies on self check out over quality staff to checkout customers.

I didn't like the fact that one of the managers by the name of S. Rodriguez had to yell at an elderly and telling him once you go out you can't come back in, just because he didn't have extra help with him. I think that the management should have customer service training before being promoted to a management position. I don't think she deserves to be in a management position

It's been a long time since, staff have tried to help, it was nice. Friendly and informative, knew exactly what I needed and helped with some suggestions. Quick and speedy checkout. Items ordered, no hassle and free delivery.

We wanted to rent a carpet cleaner for the day, but sales associate wouldn't rent to us without a major credit card. Sales associates didn't explain much to us. So we settled on buying the used carpet cleaner they had on displayed for sale but they still didn't want to sell us the item without the major credit card! We just took our business else where.

Live off-grid and Woodland Valley Ranch made a drive to Home Depot and Walmart today the people were helpful in the stores it was a nice little drive out here we'll do it again

The employees are not to friendly! It's hard to get help through out the store, so good luck with that! Other then that it's okay, if you really need to go there ! Get there early morning or you will stand in a line for a LONG time!

Huge line to get in but I suppose that's the new norm.  No fault of the depots.  Grateful they're taking measures to keep us safe.  Customer service is great as always!

The person loading a ton of pellets was quick and efficient.   Check out clerk was not pleasant, but its Gallup.  She said go to garden center for loading, There was no one in the garden center which was closed from outside, I had to walk around and find an employee who was the right person afterall.

Didn't go in. I was there to purchase a metal garbage can but had my dog with me. Sadie is allowed in the Home Depots around our home in Dallas . In fact, they were crucial in helping her in her Therapy Dog training.  I was surprised to find pets were not allowed in this one and I won't leave her in the car. Guess I should have called first.

Racist and unprofessional management towards Native American elders. Sandra Rodriguez assistant manager is very rude to customers. This type of behavior should not be tolerated especially if you make business off people from the reservation! Is this the ethical code for Home Depot? Have some respect and the dignity, if you can't do that then being a manager isn't the job for you!

Stopped in at Home depo. In Gallup N.M..went to Christmas clearance section.I Saw a really nice Wreath but, passed it up.I checked it out today.Gone! Never pass sales up. Got another kind tho.nice.check this homedepo out.

The place is very organized, the people are great and they are helpful when you do find someone to help you. That is only because they are always busy. Have almost everything you need and love going there whenever I need something to improve my home. 4 out of 5.

This is the worse Home Depot I have ever been to. We ordered materials last night. They were not nice employees and then to top it off, we got 3 hours from the place to our destination only to find out they didn't even tint our paint. When we went to return the non tinted paint, they would not refund us our money. Extremely unprofessional.

Employees are very helpful. This store is always low on inventory. Have to wait more than a week for items to be restocked. Other Home Depot stores also carry a wider variety of products.

No help from worker in the paint section I ask him the I don't want kind I'm supposed to get on a sealer for a lumber so when it rains it won't damage the 2x4 lumber and he just told me on the other side an I try my best to look for the one that would work on theumver so I had to get 5 different kind an I had to go up to the counter and him again so at the end he did help me which to get but the thing about home depot uselly help when I used to go there before

THE ABSOLUTE WORST! We ordered a washer and dryer almost TWO months ago. After a month of calling to find out why the items hadn’t arrived, we were finally informed that the order was never finalized. They credited back some amount and assured us that the order would be placed for sure. A month later, the order still has not arrived. This time, because the model was no longer available. When we inquired as to why they were not able to deliver, they advised that they don’t deliver to Arizona. Perhaps indicate this in your advertisement. As of today, they’re still saying that the order will arrive on this day or this day or this day, but no real answers. Get it together Home Depot!

My friend recently went to your store in Gallup, New Mexico. Sandra Rodriguez, assistant manager, told him "Go back to your nasty Rez with your diseases!" I live in California and have a Home Depot right down the street from me. I will stop shopping there, as I have for decades. I have other stores I can go to to get my goods. I will not patronize a business that condones this behavior...

Awesome store.  I love this store.  The best workers, the best deals, the best tools.  I do not go to that burnt out husk ace hardware and i hate tractor supply and their incompetent staff.  I abhor wal-mart.  Gallup Home Depot stands out above everything else Gallup has to offer by far.

Probably the best Home Depot experience I have ever had.  Top-notch staff and kudos to the manager for providing class-a customer service.  Smart workers, great deals, and convenient shopping options.  Love the Gallup Home Depot!

This place is one stop if you live 30 Miles out of town so take a good advantage of it. Thanks Home depot.

Bought a washer and dryer and hoses to go with them, and watched the app to see when they will deliver. Well the delivery date came and went, so we called and the washer and dryer were STILL at the store.  After several phone calls they finally delivered the units, and basically dropped them off in our living room.  Even though we understood that they would install them too.  So fine, I start to install them and discover the hoses were the wrong ones for the job.  I'm not even going to bother going to Home Depot for replacement hoses.

It is hard to get things in the garden department.  All the tomato holder things were stuck together and almost impossible to get apart and they were behind all kinds of plants so they were hard to reach.  Their aisles are also often too crowded to walk down easily.  Their prices are good.

Thank you so much, Tyson and Eric, for your hard work in helping us with the heavy loads. I would have not be able to lift the T-Post on my own. We really appreciated the gentle help.

Today, September 2, 2019, my husband and i went there.
We wanted to rent a tool to unclog our plugged up sewer.
Mary was the 1st one to attend to us, she was alright.
Since the store was getting quite busy, she had to let WOODY attend to us.
From the very start he came to us, his brows were already meeting, as if he wasn't intending to help us.
This is an irony to what i read in the reviews here, about customer service 🤔
I guess because we are neither Navajos, White, Hispanic or Black.
Woody simply said that the tools were looking for are manual & automatic, but he didn't show us where the manual & the automatic were, i just had to ask, which of those were the atomatic and which are the manual ? He simply answered, the 1st one is the automatic one & the 2nd one was the manual one.
Good customer service 🤔

Taking the time to have people shop safe means allot.  Only thing is the plants were looking very rough, dry and not being looked after.  Lits of dying plants.
