  This place is great. They have a good flower and tree selection all season. I often go in with a problem or question and they always have answers and options to help. One of the best local garden stores around for sure.

  We attended a kids gardening workshop and had a great time. It was a nice, simple activity to do with the little people and they were so excited to try some veggies and plant their own seeds.

  We have purchased many plants and products here through the years, and were very satisfied. However, we bought a bottle of weed killer recently that they highly recommended and, with misgivings, paid $60. Went home and priced the same exact product online for $43 at Ace and $38 on Amazon. Our fault for not checking while at the store but I think this is outrageous price gouging. I called the store but they will not take back any chemicals. Lesson learned.

  Andrea- first, we want to make sure we communicate that we understand your frustration regarding variable pricing for the same product between different retailers. Here at Shelly's Garden Country, we do our best to be as transparent as possible with our guests with changes in our industry in regards to costs. As a small business, we do everything that we can to keep our costs low so that we can pass that savings onto our customers. However, the chemicals and the shipping costs associated skyrocketed this year due to COVID-19 and it's impact on the garden industry, and therefore, we did have to increase our prices in order to continue being able to stock those products. We do make sure that our no-return policy regarding chemicals is well displayed in several different places in our store, to try to prevent our guests from having an unsatisfactory experience. It is also printed at the bottom at the bottom of every receipt from Shelly's. As an established guest, we do hope that you will return in the future, and we truly appreciate your understanding.
