I bought a Mahindra Emax 22 from this business almost a year ago now. I feel the need to leave a review to share my experience dealing with this outfit. The buying process was nice of course, but things quickly went down hill once I had the tractor in my possession and started to have issues with it. They do not service these tractors at their location. I would strongly recommend buying a tractor from a dealer who will service their equipment at their physical location. Expensive lesson learned. Every time (3xs) I needed help fixing or servicing this tractor, the staff there was absolutely no help at all. Simple fixes or even maintenance, I was told would be anywhere from 30 days until they "didn't know when". Last time I called them about a month ago with an issue (hydraulic line blow out) They didn't have the line, couldn't help me in getting it fixed and literally told me over the phone, " I don't know what to tell you". That was the last time I will ever call this business let alone give them another cent. I would strongly recommend you buy a tractor from another dealer and save your self some headaches. But thanks to Power pro equipment I can now add tractor mechanic to my resume.

Chris and Terry are awesome and the equipment they sell is top notch. The stand behind what they sell. I have bought a Spartan SRT which I love and as a matter of fact I just purchased a Husgavana snow blower during the first day of the most recent snow storm and Terry stayed open long enough for me to come pick it up. In the end, the have earned my loyalty and will be doing business with them for many years.

Mahindra Model 2638 Bought a Mahindra 2638 from PowerPro of York. Let's start with this tractor. While it may be a fine tractor for the average homeowner that uses it for very light duty work around the property, it does not do well beyond that. It is by far the worst tractor I have ever used. It is supposed to be 38HP machine, but I refuse to beehive it really puts out that much. This tractor has very little power. It has three main speeds; low, med, and high. Medium and high speeds are pretty much useless unless you are on flat ground. In these two speeds it will struggle with any sort of incline, and forget about using attachments like a rock rake, or drag or pull behind mower. These higher speeds will simply not be able to pull these items on anything but flat ground. So that leaves us to do most things in low gear only. Even in low gear however, this thing cannot pull any implements up much of an incline at all without struggling. This machine severely lacks power and torque. While this is a four wheel drive model, it does not perform well in mud or snow. I have the intermediate/industrial tread tire tread that are in between turf tread and full agricultural tread. DO NOT GET THESE! The tread while they look impressive do not perform well at all, and this is one of the main problems with the useless four wheel drive on this machine. I had to call a tow truck to pull it out for $500 (another rippoff). When the manager of the dealership came to pick the tractor up for warranty work, I did everything in my power and even dared him to drive the tractor in my pasture in 5" of show. He refused and stated he was afraid to get it stuck! You be the judge. The turf tires would perform better than these industrial tread tires for sure. Also these tires are made of very low grade rubber, and after on fifty hours on them the tread were noticeably worn. This combined with the poor tread design leaves you with a tractor that is useless off of flat ground, or in mud or snow. You will get stuck! Another huge problem is this tractor does not have independent front suspension. So with a stiff axle in the front, when one front tire drive over a bump, it leaves the other front tire spinning freely in the air. So right there you lose tremendous traction. Overall I would not recommend this tractor to anyone, even the average home owner. This is a low end garden tractor and in this range of price you would be better off buying a Kioti brand. You could also buy a more high end better made line of Kubota and be far better off. Now for the dealer PowerPro of York; With 50 hours (6 months old) on this tractor I was totally and frustratingly wanting to take it back. When I suggested my displeasure with this tractor and wanting to return it, the manager simply stated that all sales are final, and he was sorry I was displeased. Not a good answer for someone in my position and degree of displeasure. So I will be forced to sell it at a great loss privately, but first I had to get some warranty work done on it from this same dealer. I tried to get him to give me a new set of full ag tread tires and he refused. The I suggested he might sell me them at cost. He refused to do either of course. Instead he quoted me $1800 installed. ( not even close to dealer cost) Also if they are made of the same inferior rubber as the intermediate treads currently on it. Long story shortened, this dealer POWERPRO of YORK did NOTHING to appease my displeasure with this machine so I would also not recommend them either. They gave me nothing, (not even a free oil change or something) and nickel and dimed me even on some minor maintenance work. This of course was a way for them to get paid for the warranty work that is supposed to be free. This dealer has horrible customer support for sure, and I would not recommend them even if you still decide to buy a Mahindra tractor. John Fornaro Hanover Koi Farms
