They do great work at a fair price, and they’re exceptionally nice people to do business with. I highly recommend One Earth Landscapes.

One Earth Landscapes and Mulch did an amazing job last year transforming our yard. I received an estimate by email ahead of time to accept. They sent a crew soon after to begin work. They blew leaves, picked up sticks, edged all of our gardens, and put down mulch. It looked beautiful! The workmen were quick and professional! We were so pleased with their work that we are getting them to come back this year too! I highly recommend One Earth.

We called the company to have them come out and clean the leaves from our yard. The woman on the phone told us it would be 125$ deposit and never offered an estimate even after having a gentleman come out to look at our yard. We clearly had no clue on what pricing is/would be. When the guys came to do our yard, they did a decent job but once we received the invoice we were charged an additional 525$. This may seem normal or appropriate to someone who has had this service completed before but we felt it was very high and UNEXPECTED. When I called to question it, the owner was rude to me and said “it’s not my responsibility to offer an estimate”. He was aggressive and defensive instead of taking ownership that when you come to do non-“cookie cutter” yard, you should automatically offer a rough estimate. I felt very taken advantage of. He used the comparison that if I took my car in for a service and they estimated a price and then got there and realized it needed more work, I would be responsible for paying for the service. Any car company I have ever used would call and give me a quote if the job is more than initially expected and I felt they should have offered a quote once they realize our yard is large and full of leaves. Very poor customer service and I would not recommend without stating you want a quote. The work itself was fine (how do you mess up raking/blowing leaves?)
Response from the owner
It is not our responsibility to arbitrarily assume a customer wants an estimate, if they don't ask for one and explicitly state they want the job done asap, and then make the required deposit on Square, which prompts us to schedule the work as described. The statement in square when the deposit is made clearly states an invoice will be sent once the work is completed. The deposit is deducted from the total invoice and any remaining balance is due at that time. You property is 1.6 acres of wooded land. The average home/property is about 1/2 acre. Knowing this, you were well aware of the extent and volume of leaves at your home. We removed 3 large dump trucks of ground leaves from your property and in fact, I reduced your bill by $200.00. Also, it was not you, Ms. Meyers, who any of our staff spoke to at any time. The issue lies with your husband, who set all this up and asked to get the work completed asap and did not request an estimate. You had no problem with the work. You actually state you had no problem with the price... You just have a problem with not getting an estimate that you .. or actually, your husband never asked for to begin with when he called us. You were extremely rude and aggressive on the phone with me. In most every instance I will agree with the customer, but not in this instance. You're in the wrong and you know it. I even asked you multiple times what you thought was a fair price and you said what we charged was a fair price. I was going to discount your invoice to what you thought was fair, but obviously what we charged you was fair, and you felt the same way. You're just a rude angry person. I feel sorry for your husband.
