  North by Northwest is by far the best landscaping company in Austin! Not only do they know their business (ie. everything about plants, hardscapes, irrigation, etc.), but they also have the most reasonable pricing and best customer service. I had obtained two estimates from other landscaping companies, and I got exactly the same design from Northwest for less than half the price. Jordan was also very good at suggesting ways to save money while still getting the design that looked and performed the way I wanted. North by Northwest was very dependable--always on time and performed exactly as promised. This is the BEST service company I have ever worked with in Austin.

  Working with NXNW has been a series of follies. Aside from the sloppy landscape work they did, I had also signed up for a lawn maintenance plan hoping they would rid my yard of weeds. Instead of making my lawn look nice, they sent out some inexperienced hack who literally ruined more than half of my yard with the wrong chemical mixture. This hack they sent out also managed to spray the chemicals on my pavers and side wall of my house which left lovely blue stains for weeks. Thanks for that NXNW. Fast forward to today, I have a dead patchy lawn and was forced to hire a new company to fix their mess costing me significantly more money than I wanted to spend on lawn care. Of course they wanted to fix the problems they created but after 3 weeks of no follow up from the owner I decided to part ways with them. Working with NXNW has been a nightmare. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

  Mike, we understand that we do not always meet everyone's expectations no matter how hard we try. When we make a mistake we always do our best to make it right. We apologize for the bad experience you had and we want to reassure you that the technician responsible for your mishap has since been terminated and replaced with a more experienced individual. Jay, the owner, came and assessed your yard and offered to scalp, bag, aerate and top dress your turf ($800+ value) at no cost to you to fix our mistake. Without any objection from you, we added you to the landscape division's calendar. Unfortunately for you and us, the recent rains have backed up our recent schedules and our guys have been working hard to catch up. While you were still on the calendar, you asked for a reimbursement for all fertilization services rendered and asked to break our agreement and we fully honored this. In regards to the "sloppy" landscape work, all of our landscape installations come with a 1 year warranty on workmanship (satisfaction) and material as stated to you by Jordan in your initial visit. We have never had any complaints about our landscape installations being sloppy; on the contrary, we have raving reviews on our landscape installs. I understand you are rightly upset by our mistake, but if our landscape install was "sloppy", I don't think you would have signed a further agreement with us. NXNWL stands by behind our work, even when a mistake has been made and we always offer to make it right

  I contracted NXNW to replace my mother's fence about 4 years ago and they did a fantastic job. The crew was awesome and finished the job in a very timely manner. I also use NXNW at my place of employment to care for our flowers and mowing needs. 10/10 would definitely recommend to my friends.
