I have used Naturalawn of America in Charlotte for years, and I write this review based up a lengthy record of service. I use this service because I find it to be one of the best values in the area. They provide a quality service, get consistent results, and costs are very reasonable. I also like the type products they use. This past summer I also added the Mosquito Ranger service, and I saw a significant difference through the use of that service. As for customer service, I have always dealt with Co-Owner April Cannon. The customer service is simply consistently at an elite level.

Warm weather lawn owners beware. To be clear so you do not have to deal with the same frustration as I did, Natural lawn offers a fertilization service. A fertilization service that happens to occasionally spray weed control when it is < 85°F & not raining. So basically unless you're 1st on the route & it's a cool dry day you aren't likely to get weed control, throughout the summer. The weed control aspect is "like chips & salsa at a restaurant" it is a "courtesy" not an actual service that you pay for. The owner I spoke with had good customer service & was nice enough when I called to question the issue & later to cancel my subscription. The lawn is green however I feel that they should be more explicit about what their primary objective & service is (just fertilization) rather than billing themselves as a comprehensive lawn care service. In addition, the company I got to replace them is literally ½ the cost & their revisits are compulsory so it isn't your responsibility to chase them down or keep tabs to ensure they are actually applying weed control. **Update** 09/04 new company that offers FULL lawn care not just fertilization came out & treated lawn early this week & weeds are already getting under control.

It is always an unfortunate situation when a customer cancels for reasons that are for the most part out of our control. As this customer stated we do not spray weed control on warm season grasses when temperatures are 85 degrees or warmer. With Fescue we must stop at 90 degrees. As we explained to this customer, spraying weeds above these temperatures will kill the grass not just the weed. This is not only true for NaturaLawn, but all lawn care companies. Temperature restrictions along with other environmental conditions such as rain and high winds are stated on every weed control label and should always be followed to avoid damage to the lawn and/or the environment. If we sprayed weeds in the rain it would just wash off and would result in pesticides in the rainwater going into our sewer drains, creeks and rivers. We could lose our pesticide license if we did things like this. We did leave this customer a Fact Sheet explaining why we were not spraying for weeds when we last treated him so he would understand what was happening. Keep in mind we are only on the lawns every 6-8 weeks. We rely on our customers to contact us in between treatments if additional service is needed. We do not charge for weed control whether it is a scheduled service call by one of our technicians or a requested service call from a customer, as was explained to this customer. Lawn care is a 3-legged stool, we are only 1-leg, the customer is 1-leg and Mother Nature is the 3rd and she always throws us curve balls. Communication from the customer is key if things are not going in the right direction. Our goal is to apply products to reduce weeds on a timely schedule, prior to germination in the case of crabgrass, and to get lawns healthy enough over time that they out-compete weeds so weed control is not even necessary. Unfortunately, this customer started service with NaturaLawn in early April 2020, well after crabgrass had already germinated in the Charlotte area - early March. Crabgrass is best controlled with pre-emergent prior to germination. Once crabgrass germinates it is difficult to control, for every lawn care company not just NaturaLawn. Had this customer continued service for at least a full year I am 100% confident that he would not have the issues next year he is having this year. Unfortunately, 4.5 months is just not long enough for anyone to make a real difference when dealing with Mother Nature. John Cannon Owner, NaturaLawn of America

I truly hope this review helps people decide to use another company. the guys who came out were great, but when you question the owners, or office staff, they completely lie, which is shocking to someone like me who takes accountability for my actions. We currently use the lawn service from this company then added mosquito services. We used the "natural" version of mosquito spraying, which means they come out more often. After the first spray my family was still getting bit, a lot! I called to get someone out to spray again and was told they would get it on the schedule in 5-7 days. Well, in between those 5-7 days we still had mosquito's. I called to cancel services and was told by Christine, "Good luck with the mosquitos!" Wow. Thanks for the good customer service. My local guy will come out next day. Update: Both the response's from the owner are lies, and for that alone I would HIGHLY NOT recommend NaturaLawn. I'm actually shocked they wouldn't call me to figure things out, but continue to outright lie to make me look like it was my fault. They didn't even address my original complaint, and now have made a mountain out of a mole hill. If you are reading this review I have no reason to lie. I will now be canceling the lawn service too. I personally called on Friday June 11th, and called back on Wednesday June 16th to cancel. If you were going to come out Thursday June 17th, that's still 4 business days. I just looked at my phone records, so I'm not a liar. We tried your mosquito services because we use your lawn service. But as a customer, I thought waiting 5-7 business days after being bit was kinda a long time. And you didn't say "Good luck with the mosquito services" (another lie ) you said "Good luck with the mosquito's," which I replied, "Thanks for the sarcasm." If you have something else you'd like to say, please call me directly so we can iron this out, if I was a business owner I'd want to understand what I could have done better. My review was based on the sarcasm I received for canceling services; very unprofessional. As is your response. and now I'm giving you a one star.

This customer called on 6/16 complaining of mosquitos. We told her that she was due for her next service (the last service was on 5/19) and we would get someone out within the next 5-7 business days. She said ok. Later that morning when printing routes for the next day we saw that we would be in her area the next day, so we sent a service notification via email informing her we would be out 6/16. She contacted us via phone and told us it was unacceptable that she was initially told 5-7 business days. Asked her did she receive the email notification, she said she did receive it. We again told her we would be out the next day, but she told us to forget it, to cancel her service and she would get another company. We said ok, and wished her luck with the new mosquito company. We always make it a priority when customers request a service. Without knowing for sure when we will be in the area, we tell customers within 5-7 business days to be safe. More times than not it we arrive in a day or two. Update: Our records show this customer called on 6/16 not 6/11 for mosquito. Her ticket was printed later that day, 6/16 for a 6/17 service and an email notification was sent. She called back later that day to cancel. We have no record of a call on 6/11, if she had called on 6/11 a service record would have been created on that date. Per this customers request we have cancelled all future services.
