I hired David and his crew to fix what I thought was a simple grading problem identified by the home inspector (before I purchased my house). I had several companies give me estimates just by looking at the house. David was the only one who actually checked the soil several feet down. He gave me tips on how to handle the moisture issues in my basement and garage while I waited for him to start the project. The project took 4 days. He and his crew were very professional, courteous and most importantly very knowledgeable! They did an amazing job. They cleaned up every evening before they left. They Left my property nicer than what it was before the project. Thank you so very much David, Larry and Gary! I will most definitely hire you for more projects and highly recommend you to my friends! r/ Victoria

Update: They actually filed a lien against my property for payment on work he never did. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND USING MOUNTAIN VIEW LANDSCAPING. Update to my update: He has now filed a suit against me for work he has yet to complete or correct. I wish I never met David Hill or Mountain view landscape. Update from review below: They have refused to come out and complete the work as contracted and instead he had his lawyer send a threat of lien against my home to try and collect money he has not earned. Unfortunately, I hired Mountain View to demo rotted stairs and install flagstone boulder stairs, address some erosion control issues and clear some debris at my home. Everything started out good but as soon as I pointed out an issue David seemed upset. he installed a broken boulder step and told me he could glue it. Really? They broke a drain line and never told me nor did they offer to fix it.On the last day of the job they sent 2 guys out to set the last couple of steps which did not fit together at all. They said they would have to come back with other stone to fix the 12" gap between the 2 but David wanted his equipment at another job site. I told David to bill me so I could pay for the work that was completed. He billed me in full and tacked on some extra costs which I was never told about. To this day they have not fixed the steps, or the other work he was contracted for, but he did tell me I could come pick a stone for him to install. I'm not a landscaper and I didn't want to make a mistake so I asked him to measure and pick one. He refused and threatened to sue me. The list of bad goes on and on. ABSOLUTLY WILL NEVER RECOMMENDED MOUNTAIN VIEW TO ANYONE.

Mountain View completed several projects for us earlier this year, the first being a major project improving severe drainage problems affecting our driveway and parking area that had us trekking through standing water and mud on a sloping lot. His work permanently solved a potentially destructive problem that probably went back years before we owned the property. We absolutely love the warm-toned nolichucky gravel. In addition to that they built us a beautiful stacked-stone retaining wall supporting a cherished Rhododendron. It was expertly built by a highly skilled crew and they didn't forget to construct it with great drainage, too. I especially like the ample-sized cap stones that make it someplace to sit down if necessary while gardening. Gary and Larry built us a spectacular stone staircase with wood railing that made a slippery, muddy berm into a safe path to the back yard. It is a work of art and has received its share of compliments from guests and construction crews alike. Getting on in years ourselves this project means the difference between navigating safely to enjoy our back yard and not daring to even go. Finally, Miquel and Ricardo brought their amazing talents and skills to life by revising our long front walkway, improving on what was there tremendously in both form and function. They upgraded it from a narrow molded-paver walkway almost impossible to navigate safely to a wider, much more aesthetically pleasing path with artfully placed natural fieldstones that we are enjoying immensely. Like most hardscaping work, these projects were inherently expensive but more than justified. What matters when initiating work like this is expertise, experience and having the tools, materials and talented crew that make it come together. This is what Mountain View absolutely shines at doing and although we had to take a break to build up our financial resources we plan to hire David Hill again for more projects that will not only make us happy but increase our property values. THANK YOU, David, Tiffany, Miquel, Ricardo, Gary, and Larry! We love working with you.
