  Before they completed the job they had 3 people come out to measure our yard. Forward to them completing the job, grading and putting sod down in our backyard, and the final bill being $2000 more than the bid. There was some extra topsoil needed because there was a big dip in the yard, an extra 7 yards, and they were off by a pallet and a half of sod. I get that no one is perfect but being that far off... and I will add our yard is a square, no curves. At the end of the day, the company has to own up to their mistake and honor their bid. We ended up paying way more than the estimate. I understand slight difference but that was drastic. Is there no more integrity?

  Hello Kelly, Thanks for taking the time for leaving a review. We value customer feedback to the moon and back. we always strive for a 5 star rating! Per our discussion in person we were matching bids from one of your several competitors, these other contractors that you had sent us pictures of estimates on. several of these contractors even had less sod on their estimates than we had budgeted I am just curious if they installed the sod and were short as well if would they be receiving the one star review? if not what can I do to make this right. Yes, we took measurements we came up with very similar numbers to the other contractors and rounded up to the nearest full pallet the difference is we allow you only to pay for what you use whether if its less or more. we had concluded from the picture messages you sent me 3 different contractors come up with less then 3 pallets we don't "bid" jobs as you had put here in the review we make budgetary estimates as I explained in great detail and had been very transparent before we ever came to any agreements you had agreed that you understand if we use less sod you would be charged for less. this approach protects us as contractors from losing money on quantity based items however we do our best to get you accurate measurements but nothing can ever be 100 percent concrete and we made this very transparent upfront you pay for what you use. I had extended a $450 dollar discount to you directly after the attempt to negotiate the price down with me after the project was finished. I am here to make Your family happy and thats the MWSNL teams first priority. I was under the impression per our conversation that you were happy with the discounts you had received and the end results, Mr. cool had specifically told me he appreciated that I worked with you on the price and that goes along way and he admired the fact that I did make adjustments to help out on cost like he had asked for so this review comes once again as a shock to me on the basis of attacking our integrity. I understand your frustrations and I understand it was a unexpected cost but these are remodeling projects and they do not always go as planned we charge a set fee Per pallet installed as disclosed in our estimate that price does not change. I really am sad to receive this one star review after getting your praises about how awesome the property looked when it was completed. if it hadn't been Midwest snow and lawn someone else would have had to put down the extra pallet and a half just like we had to. we gave you a 5 star install for sure. but if we are able to turn that frown upside down it would make us happy at MWSNL I hope to turn this 1 star review into a 5 star review as its how I grow and maintain my business these reviews allow me to maintain platinum perks from thumbtack to serve the great people of Johnson county and surrounding areas just like you! I hope to do more work with you in the future as Mr. Cool had mentioned when we were standing outside he mentioned that he would call us in the future for more work because you loved that we worked with you on the price, this doesn't seem like the statement from someone that left us a 1 star review for the job? if that's not accurate I understand there is no need to attack the integrity of my business when I bent over backwards to help. and discounted the services for you to help with those addition required costs.
