I have employed Lawn Doctor of Roanoke for almost 15 years and am very pleased with their service. In addition to the services noted above, they apply chemicals for soil enrichment. They come over, do what I have requested in advance, and leave printed followup instructions regarding post-treatment mowing, watering, keeping pets and children off the lawn for a certain period of time, etc. I have had several occasions to call them to ask questions or request additional services. I leave a message with the answering service folks and get a call back quickly. I am one of the unlucky homeowners affected by army worms in 2021. I left a message with the answering service, received a callback from Shawn, described the problem, and the very next day Lawn Doctor came out, verified the problem and treated my lawn. The treatment took care of the worms but did not fix my lawn, so I requested reseeding that area which provided great results.

They seem to be very professional. However, do not get to talk with the techs since never know when they will be coming. Would be nice to know and be able to discuss things about our lawn with them. For the money, the treatments do seem to keep dandelions and most weeds under control, compared to our neighbors yards how they look.

Absolutely the best lawn service Ive received. Extremely professional. I had used Trugreen for aeration. 1 person did my 1.5 acre (aeration and overseeding) in less than 15 minutes. Lawn Doctor came highly recommended. I had probably 6 men on multiple aeration units for probably 2 hours. They did an incredible job and put down almost 300 pounds of seed. (Trugreen used 1). My yard was well punched. I would recommend Shawn and the guys at Lawn Doctor to anyone looking for someone to treat their yard.
