  Lauren's LawnCare helped us with both basic yard work, putting down a TON of pinestraw, and manicuring our overgrown ivy . The owner came to do the initial overview and quote, sending his team out later in the week to complete the work. Stafford, the owner, also came the day of to ensure that everything we had discussed was completed. The team did a very thorough and professional job. We will be using Lauren's for basic monthly yard service and I look forward to having a trusted team care for our yard.

  Mr. Wicker originally offered to clean up the yard, front and back, for $800.00. I said this would be fine, as long as he didn't use any nasty chemicals, and took care not to damage my fruit trees. When I spoke with him later, he described himself as a "straight shooter" and told me that he did not want to put his name on any job unless it was done right. I told him that I could understand this. On the day that he was supposed to come over with his crew to do the job, he called me, and told me that he was doing me a big favor, and that ordinarily, this kind of job would cost $2,000.00. When I asked him what he thought would be a reasonable price, he said that he and his crew could do the whole job for $1,400.00. I agreed to this, but told him that I expected to get an invoice. Mr. Wicker came over mid-afternoon with his crew and supervised his employees. He said that he would only do the "front and sides" that day and come back later to clear out the overgrowth in the back. I misunderstood this to mean the complete sides, front and back, but later realized that he only meant the "sides" of the front yard. I said that I could pay him $700.00 that day, and the other $700.00 upon completion of the job. After they were done, Mr. Wicker came to the front door to be paid, but did not have an invoice for me. He said that he would send me an invoice later. And took a picture of my payment. I gave him my email address and then he asked me to repeat my home address to input into his phone. I had to stop one of his employees from cutting a climbing rose plant. I was also upset when I saw that one of the smaller dogwood trees had been cut down. Mr. Stafford said that it was dead, and offered no apology. He said that they would come back later to haul the pile of debris and tree trimmings since he didn't want the neighbors to see the mess. (In our earlier conversation, he told me that hauling the debris would cost extra.) He said he wanted to use this job to advertise to other potential customers on the street. I thought this was rather rude, but didn't say anything at the time. Overall they did a thorough job on the front yard. However, it was rather unprofessional to not have prepared an invoice. The only thing I received for an invoice was a copy of my check. I will not be calling this company anymore.
