If there was an option for zero stars that would be my selection, but unfortunately that isn't possible. AVOID THIS COMPANY at all costs. They came to open our pool and "replace a valve". I notified them that the valve they had just replaced was leaking and was sealed with putty. We were out of town when they performed the work and we did NOT receive what we were invoiced $400 for. We finally did, but not until we informed them of our pool completely draining. They did nothing when I contacted them about the "brand new" valve leaking and the end result was a loss of 22,000 gallons of water from my pool. That's right it completely drained! The liner now has wrinkles in it and our cover ripped away from the concrete and caved into the pool as a result of their efforts. Owner, Gary Hendrick, did everything he could to put the blame on us stating we have a leak in the pool amongst other lies. So we hired another company to assess our plumbing and check for leaks, needless to say, there were none. We were also informed by several experts that improper valve installation can and will drain your entire pool; however, Gary, in his 33 years of experience doesn't seem to want to admit that. We kindly requested that he simply return our property to the same condition in which he found it, which was a fully functional unit and Gary refuses because this is now something that would cost his company $7000.00. Besides seeking legal action it will now be my mission to prevent as many people as possible from using Hendrick Pool Services so as to avoid anyone making a mistake where having them complete even the most basic service will leave you in thousands of dollars worth of trouble that you never anticipated. BEWARE: The service guy that "completed" the work is Brent.
Response from the owner
Shayla, While we understand your frustrations as being a new pool owner to a pool that has come with issues, it is disheartening that you would deny our many attempts to help you in this situation. On March 11we received a call into our office as well as emailed photos of your pool that showed the cover drastically sagging and separating the auto cover track from the coping. At the time we did express our concerns to you that the water level was dangerously low and water needed to be added to the pool immediately. Gary at this time also reached out to you by phone informing you we had already repaired this cover, after it caved in for the previous owners in December of 2018, so it was important that you stayed on top of the water level to avoid and further damage to the auto cover. When your pool was opened on May 17 you were informed that your floor system was missing the internal module. The module for the floor system is not the lid. The module contains the internal mechanical pieces that make the floor system functional. Again, your system was only missing the internal module. You were never sold a new lid, the lid that was present when we arrived was the lid that was left on the system. On May 22, we received a phone call into our office and we were informed that your "pump" was leaking. We asked you to send us photos of the leak so it could be addressed. The photo we received was of the floor system lid. A replacement lid was ordered on May 22. On Sunday, May 26 our office received an email that contained photos of your pool cover being caved in and the track being pulled from the concrete. That same day, which was not only a Sunday, but also Memorial Day weekend Brent came to your home and while he was there he had to shut your pump off because your pump was running dry as there was no water flowing into the skimmer. In the time following Brents visit on Sunday, we removed the auto cover and you began to fill the pool back up with water. All while the pool was refilling both Brent and Gary came and checked on the pool on multiple occasions, and also during this time a new lid was installed on your floor system. On June 17 you requested a quote for the repairs necessary to remedy the pool cover, in which Gary and Brent met with you and your husband to discuss the issues with the pool and repairs that would be necessary on June 21. During this meeting it was brought to our attention that your husband was not even aware of the low water level you had in March. Finally, June 27 we did hear back from you in response to the quote you were given and we were informed that you had also received advice from other professionals. One of which included the explanation that your pool water had simply evaporated, which you were disappointed that Gary did not offer this same explanation. Gary did explain to you on June 27 that evaporation is not the culprit of massive water lose. Evaporation is a slow process that does not happen in large quantities over the course of 4 days, furthermore evaporation in the winter is almost immeasurable (going back to the water loss from December to March). Among other professional opinions, you did seek out a leak detection company and you described their findings as that there were no issues found. The company you used was American Leak Detection, whom we have worked with before. After our own discussion with American Leak Detection we were informed that they did locate cracks in the skimmer and as well as a broken wall fitting under the diving board, both of which are sources for loosing water. As a final note, we have done everything in our power, more specifically Brent has gone above and beyond in trying to help alleviate the stress of new pool ownership for you. It is a shame that you would ever think it was appropriate to make such claims and to give a "warning" to our customers about his services and capabilities, as you know that he has gone out of his way to help you.

Let's all be real, when we invest $100,000, we have expectations that we will have a good experience, but that good experience failed after the pool was installed, service happens to be one of the most important things, and this company seems to be a pump and dump, get your pool in and leave you high and dry. Service times have been poor, response and communication has been light, I'm a verified customer, I spent $100,000 on a pool last year feb 2020. The good news is there are other pool providers out there. run away fast, the office staff is not there to support you, their customer service skills certainly need a bit of improvement, I hope they have better home lives than it seems.

My Pool light went out on labor day, I went to Hendricks on Tuesday, they ordered me a new light and installed it on Thursday. WOW you simply can't beat service like that these days. Many thanks to Gary, the ladies in the office and the installers. Really great people to deal with. Highly recommend đź‘Ť
