  I used Dos Amigos for an extensive yard renovation project last Fall. Project included ground re-leveling, tilling, and sod installation. After installation, the sod was landscaped and surrounding area mulched. They also dug a new drain line to the street for me. It was a serious project and they did great work. Their crew was also extremely kind to my new puppy. Overall, it was a great experience.

  Had several bushes planted .The crew didn't prepare the hole but just dumped the bushes in. Clay is so hard that the roots system could not expand. The bushes are now dying...the one year warranty was out so I am trying to keep the bushes alive. They replaced 3 but I have multiple bushes. They also planted bushes that the deer ate. Not a good company. Two years now, having half the bushes replaced by another land scape co.They were all eaten by deer or didn't thrive because they were not planted correctly. Tried to save them by having them replanted but it didn't work.

  Kathryn, I am sorry that you had deer problems with your shrubs. As any landscape designer will tell you, there is no such thing as "Deer Proof," just Deer Resistant. We have not had issues with either of the two varieties of shrubs that were installed at your property. We also installed Deer Netting to protect the shrubs. As you remember, you reached out to us in October about an issue with 4 of the plants, one Cypress and three Leucothoe. We replaced the Cypress and replaced the Leucothoe with three Pieris under warranty with no charge to you . We also came onsite and did a free application on these and other shrubs on your property in April. As far as dumping the plants in a clay filled hole, when installing shrubs, it is not recommended to adjust the soil content because that causes the shrub to become dependent on the topsoil or compost, not the native soil. We install thousands of plants a year and use this technique. If you had contacted us before making this review, we would likely have stood behind our work and taken care of the plants you are concerned about. We are sorry you felt the need to write this review without contacting us directly about any additional shrubs that may have been declining in health.

  Dos Amigos did a great job on our place. We had them do some hardscaping and general landscaping work. They were timely, affordable, professional, and left our yard looking wonderful when they were done. We could not have been more pleased.
