  Black Diamond was the right choice for our project, beyond a doubt. Rocco was fabulous, and his crew was full of professional tradesmen. Their work was terrific and ultimately exceeded expectations. A special thanks to Rocco for his patience and ability to listen. Those are extremely important attributes for someone in his position dealing with perfectionist customers like myself, and his bridging the gap to execution was nearly flawless. There were two instances where things could have potentially gone off course, but the crew was quick to stop and listen, and Rocco was right there each time to help set things right. Of particular importance, the centerpiece of our project (expanding the Calstone paver driveway to accommodate 2 cars and converting the natural grass to turf), was a planter "island" with a 3-headed Pygmy palm in the middle of the turf. It was an irregular shape we wanted, and there was confusion over how it was to look, so when I noticed that Jose (a truly masterful stone worker) was laying an egg shape, I asked him to stop so we could review. He got Rocco on the phone 2 minutes later, and shortly after Rocco was on site. There was no drama, just conversation, and within a few minutes we came to a manageable compromise that was actually better for the size of the space we had available. I was very pleased by the open discussion, and the execution of the craftsmanship truly nailed it. The palm itself when it arrived was disappointing, with only 2 trunks and one of them stunted. It took a number of phone calls from Rocco and a full day to fix, but ultimately the tree was replaced with exactly what we envisioned. Again, Rocco nailed it because he was willing to listen and had the patience to deliver. The spray-to-drip irrigation conversion was also seamlessly done, the turf conversion in the back yard as well was meticulously executed. Kudos to Jorge, Jose, and their crew. Thanks for a job very well done, even in the eyes of a perfectionist. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Black Diamond. Given the problems we had trying to get competitive quotes for the job (1 company never responded, 1 company scheduled and never showed up, and the 3rd company was not able to support the full scope of the project) IMHO Rocco and Black Diamond have no competition in this area. It was the right choice for us... no drama, just professionals.

  Black Diamond did a fantastic job on our backyard and driveway remodel, which included pavers, stone, lighting, and landscaping. Our design specialist Rocco was awesome. He was responsive, professional, gave great design advice, and communicated well throughout the process (in addition to being a great guy). When the project hit a few snags (as you'd expect with any big renovation), Rocco promptly resolved the issues and made sure we were satisfied with the end result. We couldn't be happier with the transformation from an unusable backyard to a wonderful outdoor living space and would highly recommend Black Diamond and Rocco.

  We started our project by contacting 4 companies with only 2 of them responding to our request. We then decided to go with Black Diamond based off of the professionalism they showed on our first consultation. Nobody else offers a 27-year warranty or has such an impressive track record. Our designer and project manager Steve Turner listened to us and worked with us to select the right color and pattern for our driveway, porch, and planter box. Steve redesigned the plan a few times and presented a three-dimensional image of what it would look like, and we knew it was right for us. He stayed very involved, working with the foremen Flavio for demolition and Jorge for installation. Jorge's crew was fast and clean. They stayed within budget and Steve was responsive to all my questions throughout. We recommend Black Diamond for your project.
