  We recently moved from Denver to Lakewood. While living at our home in Denver, we had used Area Northwest Lawn Service each spring for aeration and power raking. They were conveniently located a block away, so it worked out well. As far as aeration and power raking are concerned, they always did top notch work. They arrived on the day they had promised, did the work, and cleaned up after words. No complaint there! However, I do have one issue with this business. There were a few times here and there, when either our lawn mower was out of commission, or when we were in the process of moving and our mower was already loaded in the moving truck, that we had inquired as to whether they could mow our lawn. I spoke with the owner, who's name is Ron (who was always friendly), and asked if we could have them come out and cut our grass. He would always reply, "Yes, we can mow your lawn, and we'll be out every two weeks after that." I found that odd. I asked him why that was the case, and reiterated that we did not need to setup a lawn cutting schedule, as we only needed the grass cut as needed. He replied, "Well, that's the schedule." His general attitude at this point was sort of like "Take it or leave it." I found that to be very troubling. Turning away business, even sporadic business, is not a good practice in my opinion. Who knows what kind of business you could get over time from even your smallest customer? Being that we were already a seasonal customer for aeration and power raking, I was disappointed that he took that stance. I understand that mowing a lawn here and there that isn't in his normal schedule could be an inconvenience. But hey, there are plenty of other lawn businesses that would love to gain a new customer. I try to be fair and balanced in my reviews, and I am giving them 3 stars because of their good aeration and power raking work. If not for Ron's stance on mowing lawns on an as needed basis, I would have given Area Northwest a higher rating.

  Ron and his team have been aerating my lawn for the last few years. Have always done a nice job, reasonably priced, and have been a pleasure to work with. I would recommend them for spring or fall aeration for sure.
