Wilhelm associates have truly been incredible hard scape and landscaping partners during a challenging pandemic and torrentially rainy year… From creative design recommendations, excellent stonework and attentive lawn, sprinkler, lighting and landscaping installations, this entire team was highly focused and responsive. The quality of materials and plantings are excellent as well. Communication and coordination were also of tantamount importance as we initiated this project from out of state, were concurrently building our house and depended on regular updates. This large project has been expertly crafted. We are highly satisfied with not only the showcase result but the detail oriented responsiveness of the entire crew.

Once again we are very satisfied with the Wilhelm team. We have used them for several landscaping projects and retaining walls but this is the first crack and masonry work. They performed very well and got the job done ahead of schedule. There work quality was excellent with very good attention to detail. Their lead people are true professionals and do a great job of communication. When it was all over they always do good job cleaning up the site. We will definitely use them again

We hired Wihelm for a two phased project that included a seawall (phase 1) and then significant landscaping (phase 2). After the seawall was installed in November, the owner asked if I wanted to pay extra for a layer of topsoil and reseeding. He told me we would never even know they had been there with their heavy equipment. I agreed to that plan and paid them in full for the seawall. The remainder was to be held back until we were happy with the lawn. Fast forward to this spring, and our yard is a nightmare. Our neighbors took photos for me after Wilhelm allegedly put down the "top soil." They didn't. Our yard is a sandbox with scraggly weeds and rocks everywhere. I sent pictures to the owner, but instead of trying to make it right, they called me demanding final payment--which, by the way, was 1.3% of the entire project. When I asked why I would pay for a lawn and topsoil I did not get, the owner became belligerent and condescending. He also said that "everyone knows" that in Northern Michigan, "topsoil" means sand. Uh huh. Finally, he suggested that "I call my husband" to see if I could make the final payment. Nope. I really do wish they'd made it right. For that 1.3%, they lost tens of thousands in more business for our phase 2. The two stars is for the seawall, which is beautiful. Too bad the kids cut their feet on rocks and sharp seagrass on their way down to the beach.
