  They were not concerned. A gear box failed on my mower. It is common gearbox used on many different mower decks for many years. I ordered the gearbox on line through the John Deere web site(and paid for it). The web site stated that Van Wall had the gearbox in stock.I followed up 3 days later and Van Wall Rock island informed me the part was on back order. I waited another 2 days and called again. Still no info on availability or even a guess when it the part would be available. I waited three more days and called again still no info or even any interest in tracking down the part. I then visited the store basically the same little interest in finding a part for me. I then cancelled the order. I went to another dealer. They did not have the part either but they tracked one down from another dealer in two days and shipped it to my house. Van Wall was friendly but not interested in solving my problem.

  Hey Tom, we apologize that you had a negative experience at our Rock Island location. After discussing with our team, it appears that there may have been a miscommunication. After the Parts Department informed you that the gearbox was on backorder, they did provide you with the name of another local dealer that had the part in stock and available to pick up at your convenience. We appreciate all of our customers' understanding as we try to navigate the current supply issues, and hope that you give us another try in the future.

  Van Wall, (and Mr. Rob Orendorff) are totally customer oriented and trustworthy. They deliver superior service, reliable pick up and delivery and much more. Pricing is very competitive and their product line is extensive. Their service department is staffed with employees that compliment Van Walls Five Starr rating, and are spot on when making values judgements about repairs.
