I’ve been using turf tenders for the past 3-4 years. I always prepay for services through out the year. When I first started using them services was great but as time and years went on the quality of product that they are using has been absolutely horrible, it’s been times when I wonder if they even put down any product. Just recently they were supposed to have put down the grub prevention so I thought sad to say one day I was cutting my grass and a section pulled right up. I had them come back out to look at it and to reapply the product I which they did but sure enough the grubs are still in my grass. And this is just some of the results.

Green grass but common weeds are taking over my lawn (see photo) especially nearest side walks and landscaping edges. This is my 2nd season with Turf Tenders and I am still not impressed with the quality of "weed control" application and results. I work from home and have had an opportunity to watch each application as it's being applied. To date, I've only witnessed one QUALITY "broadcast" weed control application in 2 years. My concerns have been (called several times), that the Tech typically comes the day after I cut my grass (grass and weeds same level), he does not attach the broadcast sprayer to his equipment to BEST "control ALL weeds" and rather "spot treats" what he might see, and totally misses 99.9% of the "weeds". I've even had one Tech (only seen him once) drive his equipment in circles around my yard, (zero product being applied, no spot treatment hose in hand) only to leave wheel tracks and a Turf Tenders yard sign as if to fool me into thinking I received an application. ZERO product applied that day! ZERO Mike and Kyle have both said "after 10 days, if you still see weeds, just give us a call", I call again and again and weeks later still no follow up application saying "we don't apply weed control when it's too hot, the weather, the rain...", so all Summer long for 2 seasons this has been the repeat conversation to the my low quality results experienced with Turf Tenders "weed control". Recent calls include 7/19, 7/20, 7/21 and 8/3... today is 8/11 and I'm still waiting for a QUALITY weed control to be broadcast applied. FYI - They've defined "too hot" as being temperatures above 85 Degrees.

Dan, first off we'd like to apologize if you've had these issues with weeds in your yard. We know that you hire and trust us to take care of this for you, so we absolutely understand your frustrations. While we can assure you our techs would never come out to your home and not apply anything, we are sorry if the treatments have not been as effective as they should be. Disappointed in customer service especially trying to force customers into yearly contracts that bind over from year to year without a legal signature. They started off okay, however, like most businesses closed during Covid Pandemic and reopened to try and make up for loss revenues...not on my dollar! Giving them the benefit of doubt in trying to survive and hold to customers, but practice with honesty and human kindness intent!

We're not quite sure exactly what went wrong, we didn't ever close our doors or require a signature for service, and we can assure you that we would never try to force our customers to do anything.
