Signed up for a spring and fall spray. They sprayed first spray, didn't kill hardly any weeds. So i called and told them they sent a guy out with a 2 gallon sprayer and he walk my yard and did spot sprays. I still have weeds by the way. Now they just call wanting to sell me a fall spray, i told them i should still have a fall spray coming i paid for. No sir, you've had your 2 sprays you paid for..... no it was a touch up because first spray killed nothing..... no sir that was your second spray when you called in. I'm done with this company and do not recommend them. Find someone local that will treat you right.

I just cancelled TruGreen service today after being a full-year+ customer and I recommend that anyone interested in a lawn care service sign up with someone else. This is what happened: We signed up to have only our front lawn treated – not the back. We specifically do not want the back treated because we have a family dog that spends a lot of time out there and is a grass eater. I spoke with Tru Green sales about this (Hagerstown branch) at the beginning of our contract and was assured that there would be no confusion about this. I have since spent all year having to intercept the service people so that they only treat the front yard as this has not been in their “orders.” As I’ve been working from home this has been possible, but stressful – juggling work meetings while having to wait for the truck to arrive so that I can run out front and intercept the worker. I’ve called Tru Green customer service multiple times asking that this being corrected and was always assured that it would be – and it never was. This morning at 7 am (before I realized that they had arrived) the yard was treated and YOU GUESSED IT – they treated the entire back yard. I let my dog out back before realizing it had been treated. A few minutes later I realized the service had occurred and I attempted to get in touch with someone at True Green to determine what was put on my back lawn and whether it would be toxic to my pet. It is not possible to speak to a human being from True Green until at least 8 am- one full hour after this occurred. At that point, it is someone from a customer service line who did their best to help me but seemed to have limited information about the product. I asked to speak to a manager because I was so angry and concerned and was told that a manager would contact me within 24 to 48 hours. Really? I requested a priority call and it’s now 4 hours later and nothing. I tried to call the local Hagerstown branch and am routed to the general customer service number. I called a number that I had for sales in Hagerstown and have received no call back. I tried the virtual “chat” feature and was not able to reach an actual person. Evidently it’s not possible to speak to a Tru Green manager about a health/safety and business quality issue for up to two days after THEIR MISTAKE. True Green, I have spent my morning researching the product you put on my lawn to determine whether it’s a hazard to my pet and I’m now going to take time away from work to walk my dog since I can’t let him out in my back yard for an undetermined amount of time. Goodbye True Green. I’m sorry that I ever signed up with you. I don’t think that TruGreen will care that I cancelled service but maybe they’ll care if others don’t sign up. My recommendation to anyone considering lawn service is to use a different company.

Two issues: First up is weeds, lot's of weeds. Next, lack of service. I called about weed issue and was told I would have a treatment in the next 3 days. No show, no call. Called to follow up and was told that nobody was available so I was removed from the schedule. When I called again I was scheduled for 9/8 and would receive a call 24 hours in advance.....no call and no service. Maybe I should have clarified the year. I always like to mow my lawn prior to service and don't appreciate pushing a mower for three hours when the grass is not long enough to need cut.
