We chose 2 palm trees 6’(each) before Christmas last year. The owner was very pleasant and professional. He informed us that the warranty is for 2 years. He plantrd the palm trees. We watered them according to instructions. Probably, because of the thermal shock (the trees were freshly brought to Panama City from the south of Fl), the trees started to loose the vibrancy and green color, especially one of them. We tried to contact the owner, but only his wife would handle our case in a very decisive and incorrect way. She told us that the warranty was just couple of months. After several conversations, messages etc, at last, she agreed to replace one of the palms. That palm had already a dead center. We had to pay additional $150 for a replacement “under warranty”, however. Instead of 6’ tall tree we received about 4’ feet palm tree. The whole experience with with the lady was not very pleasant. We will not recommend that place.

I am disappointed in this long standing local company. We just purchased our first home and have a sable palm tree, as well as 13 sago palm trees. We have pets and palms are highly poisonous to them. Additionally, we are not really fans of their look. We want to replace them with other low maintenance plants and trees. We contacted Trees R Us to inquire about removing the sable palm and sago palms. I called Friday, June 28, and spoke to Debbie. She was in her car headed to lunch (the office phone was forwarded to her cell) and asked if I would send photos of the palms. I told her I would once I was home from work. Once home, I photographed and text her the photos. I had also emailed the company through their website regarding my inquiry, as well, as a backup. Debbie and I conversed via text regarding removal of the palms, landscaping, and tree trimming. I have a large oak tree that needs trimming and additional landscape such as sod or grass seed placement. Their website indicates they provide all of these services. However, Debbie said they cannot trim a tree like the oak, only palms, and recommended me to a trimmer and to a landscaper. That was fine, but disappointing as they are presently providing false advertising on their website for those services. I did not worry about it as a lot of companies have scaled back on services since the storm. I just wish they would have their website up to date on which services they provide and in more detail. Regardless, Debbie and I discussed more about the palms. She said they could remove them, free of charge, which I was also told when I called a few weeks prior. Debbie scheduled me for Monday, July 15, between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. I asked if they sold other items as we were shopping for crepe myrtles to replace the large palm with. She said they did and I confirmed their Saturday hours of being open until 4 p.m., which is on their website, as well. She said come on by and see them. My husband and I went at 3:30 to look at the available crepe myrtles. They were closed. I called the number their sign said to call if the gate was locked. The woman who answered said they closed early. I said I was told by Debbie they would be open until 4. I was given no explanation for the early closing. I said we were there to look at their plants and she interrupted to say they did not sell plants. I didn't bother to get into semantics, but, in Botany, a tree is a perennial plant. You would think a tree company would know that. I explained we were looking for crepe myrtles and she said she didn't have any for sale and she'd have to order them, asked the size was I looking for, and she only carried up to the 8 ft. I explained we wanted the full size, which is 10-20 ft. She tried to argue with me about it and said they didn't. I explained that a dwarf crepe myrtle is up to 4 ft, a semi-dwarf is 4-8 ft, and a full-sized is 10-20 ft. She interrupted and said I clearly knew more about crepe myrtles than she did and anything she said I would say she was wrong about so there was no point in talking and said goodbye and hung up! I was shocked. I was simply trying to clarify what they carried and what we were looking for. I text Debbie to ask if they closed early and she said yes and that I had called and asked if the person I spoke to was the owner or if Debbie was. Debbie said she was. I asked if she was the one who hung up on me and she said yes. I said wow. Please cancel the job on July 15 and that we were no longer interested in using their company. She responded and called me rude and said they were doing us a favor. While there was no charge for us to have them remove the sago palms, seeing as how they sell them, they undoubtedly offer that service and resell them. We had planned to purchase from them, but we will never use their company with the current owner & management. Customers beware. This company is run by a rude, unprofessional, uneducated woman who would rather burn bridges than build them. The majority of her reviews prove this.

I love my three palm trees I purchased from Trees R Us. The trees are strong, healthy, gorgeous and the price is without a doubt worth every penny I spent on them. I am impressed with the care taken when planting our trees around the pool and the instruction packet we received makes it so easy and convenient to ensure their growth. If I have a question regarding the care of my trees; Debbie always answers my call and takes the time to address my concerns as a new palm owner. I'm super proud of our backyard oasis thanks to TREES R US. Happy Happy Customer, Danette Andersen, Panama City, Florida
