The first two cuts were hastily done and poor quality - decks were set too low, various spots in the yard were scalped, grass I'd spent the winter growing was destroyed. Called and requested that the mower decks be raised to prevent scalping. The two cuts after that were great. Yard was green again, and everything was back on track. The crew showed up earlier this week, and, in one fell swoop, undid everything and left the yard in even worse condition than the first couple of cuts. Emailed the company to praise what had been done well, provide pictures of what the yard now looked like, and asked what needed to happen to ensure a consistency of cuts. Without any invitation or notice, Tom shows up at the house and either ignored or was rude to my wife and mother-in-law. During my conversation with Tom, he was rude, stated my email invited him out to do an assessment of the yard (it didn't), and refused to answer my questions about consistency of cut and why he hadn't provided any sort of notice that he was coming to inspect the work. He ended the conversation by stating we should part ways, and I couldn't have agreed more.

Unlike the other reviews, I was very pleased with Tom's Lawn Services in Red Oak. The crew did more in one weekly mow than our previous lawn service did in several years. This is only our second week, but I would definitely recommend.

We used Tom's Lawn Services for our landscaping. Tom came by and stated a pipe in our front yard flower bed needed to be buried. So, we paid to have it done along with our landscaping. Now, we get a letter stating our back flow test needs to be done. We scheduled that with a company only to be told it would be $600 because the pipe is not supposed to be buried. We called Tom's to question about why it was buried if by law it's not supposed to be. Of course, no return call!
