  Do not hire. They did my yard in a new home day before signing and they did $20K worth of damage. Half the yard is unusable because flooding and giant valley they made. When I told them I had flooding problems they said it’s because I installed gutters. 2 days later they installed French drains without my knowledge or approval….they didn’t level it out so the drains backfill and now floods worse. They do not stand by there work and they have no clue what they are doing. DO NOT HIRE!!!

  One of the worst I’ve ever dealt with. Probably relatives/friends posting good reviews. Approximately 2 years ago we had them redo the whole backyard. I met with him, our yard has a pretty good slope to our pond. I was concerned with “washout” during heavy rains. He quoted me to remove about half our fence and raise it according to yard. I had them raise the bottom part to make less of a slope. I told him I had concerns even with new yard about washout, did we need to install some kind of retainer to stop that. His exact words were “you have nothing to worry about.” I even had them raise sprinklers, and put drain pipes in for gutter downspouts. First they started approx a month late. For the next week or two, first 4-5 workers would show up then, maybe 3, 2, once, three showed up then left one and went somewhere else. Workers only “worked” when a supervisor was present, otherwise stood around or leaned on their shovel, I couldn’t communicate with ANY of them except supervisor. I found out the hard way, he manned a job more important than mine, if you can’t fulfill responsibilities get more people. No excuse!Well over $5,000 later, the job looked good(initially), then we got a hard rain, my fears came to fruition, the whole bottom of yard washed away, dirt and all. So, the 1st time he sent workers to “patch” things up. I got no response after days of calling. Then each rain thereafter more yard and dirt gone. Currently we have a horrible looking backyard, washed out dirt so nothing to hold sod. Bottom of slope worse than it originally was. We have a small backyard and really can’t enjoy much of it. Lesson learned, and plenty cash spent. Bottom line, consumer punishment again, even after asking plenty of questions!!! Update: So got a call from owner a month after my review. His comment, Mr Russell didn’t know about this, let me come out and see if I can fix, even though I tried to express the same concerns at the time of job, after they got paid. I commented that would be great but call because my wife has many dr appts. That was the last I heard anything. So beit, No surprise here Update: So the owner came out to see back yard. Very agitated, he as much told me it was my fault that the backyard was washed away. He began to tell me there was no documentation that we PAY a pest service to keep out mole crickets or moles that have destroyed grass which in turn caused washouts,wonder why the pests only caused the middle and lower slope to collapse. Funny the front yard hasn’t washed away.When I commented the hard rains washed away fresh topsoil, then the white soil underneath he commented “lawns are done on bigger slopes all the time.” Although I asked many questions in the beginning about erosion, was told nothing to worry about. Then after the the slope bottom collapsed originally, they patched it up and again “What was I worried about?” Well, the way it looks now was exactly my concerns. Bottom line, we needed to remove a huge oak tree and he said he would come back “afterwards to see how it could be patched up.” Finish killing what’s there and do a “aqua seed” of some kind, which will not build up the collapsed yard. Originally my request of building up slope bottom at least 6” and raise fence was suppose to solve erosion problem. This will be my last comment, I won’t be calling them back and be told it’s my fault because of pests, which “caused my issues”…..just after commenting “he goes over and beyond” on jobs. Too bad the effort here wasn’t the same as pulling workers to go elsewhere in the middle of job. $5,000 plus…. Learned lesson!!! I’ve always been ok with a premium price for a premium job!!!
