Prepaid for the full year fertilizer/weed control service. Halfway through the year, and we have weeds everywhere. We’ve used Stewart’s on and off for years, and they’ve been great. But, this year, it’s been a huge waste of money. We’ll have to try another company.
Response from the owner
Hi Amy, our weed control can get rid of those weeds around the edges, but sometimes (especially with this year's drought) resprays between regular treatments are needed. Our free respray guarantee entitles customers on our 6-time lawn program to unlimited free resprays between regular treatments throughout the year. If you choose to return in the future, we're happy to do as many free resprays as the lawn needs. Your account was canceled as requested, and a refund for the remaining treatments has been issued.

I mean, what is there to say? Look at my picture. The last two summers, I have had a few bad patches but overall the lawn was amazing. The company is claiming ascochyta (leaf blight) but there's no way it would have spread so suddenly after they treated. Literally TWO days after each treatment, I saw my lawn get worse and worse--and it never stopped. The crazy thing is, all my neighbors use the service and they are sitting pretty. I honestly don't know what happened and a few professionals I've had come look at it can't figure it out either besides possible chemical burn or over-fertilization by Stewart's. But, my lawn is ruined and it can only be Stewart's. I have to pay to reseed, lay down top soil, and do all that fun stuff. Hopefully I can get the money back. Who knows. It's so stressful and caused massive anxiety.

Hi Alex, as previously discussed with our specialists, the biggest issue is the rocky, dry soil. When our specialist used the soil probe on your lawn, it was unable to penetrate more than an inch in most areas—in healthy soils, it easily goes down several inches. Additionally, because of the extreme drought conditions we’ve been seeing, the lawn has been unable to recover from fungal damage caused by ascochyta, which is another contributor to its steady decline. In contrast, fertilizer burn would have a consistent pattern and cover the whole lawn. Our main lawn experts have more than 20 years of experience and understand what is happening with your lawn; they agree that better soil and proper watering are what this lawn needs the most right now. Once the soil is healthy, our treatments can help your lawn look as nice as the lawns of your neighbors who are on service. If you choose to return in the future, we’ll work together to help you grow a beautiful lawn.

Day one, after having to wait from the middle of last season, the weeds are already running rampant on my lawn... the tech messaged me at 4:00p on a Friday to cancel my appointment due to truck issues. I've already prepaid the whole year and it's not looking good for next season. What's even more frustrating is that my neighbor directly across the street had his appointment fulfilled on Wednesday and for the life of me, can't understand why they couldn't have just come across the street and service my lawn on the same day.
Response from the owner
Hi Bobby, you are on the schedule for this Wednesday. If you’re still seeing weeds a week after your first treatment, please let us know, and we will respray for free. Thank you for your patience with scheduling—we apologize for the delay. Our scheduling system automatically sets the best route for each truck, but sometimes customers are added to the schedule manually, which can change the whole route. This could be why your neighbor’s lawn was serviced on a different day.
