  We have had a challenging time getting grass to thrive, given our mixed conditions- part shade/part sun. Tried other sod farm grass without success. Finally, we discovered Southland Sod and have been delighted so far with the entire experience. They sent Norm to do a site visit. He’s a wealth of information. The sod came precision cut and very green. Not a drop of waste. Norm has stayed in touch to help advise on the watering schedule, which has really made all the difference! Super impressed with Southland Sod, their commitment to customer service, and their hands on approach with Norm Lopez who is a true expert. Thank you Norm and the team at Southland for doing it right!

It's very important to consider site conditions when planning type of sod and how to water properly. Shady areas in general need less water, therefore require modifications to watering times and rate of water applied per minute of watering.   I called Southland because we needed detailed advice about how to upgrade our lawn. About five years ago another distributor put in Bermuda, which "sleeps" all winter long, and we wanted to seed over it with Marathon. I was fortunate enough to have Renato as my rep. He came to the property, evaluated the situation, and did an awesome job explaining exactly what steps we needed to take in order to do it right. His genuine interest, professionalism and deep knowledge were very much appreciated.Thanks again.

  I worked with a gentlemen named John Domenici, who went over and above for us. We had a very tight deadline and window to work with and John made sure to be in constant communication and make sure our project was completed on time. On top of that, he was able to give us options that made our yard look exactly how we imagined, and how much less than we expected. We will be working with him and Southland for all future projects, and recommending to all those who ask. Ken
