The meadow that Mike grew at my house is so pretty! I love the minimal trimming involved in the upkeep and how many different wild flowers came up in the beginning of summer! Highly recommend Mike and his team!

Thanks, that was a steep slope native grassland - wildflower project and we enjoyed doing it. The deep roots should also help really reduce potential for erosion from heavy rains.

I am a big fan of SoilKeepers, Rapidan Valley Area Wildlife Cooperative Program, a division of The Center for Natural Capital in Orange VA. 2 years ago SoilKeepers installed a natural pollinator and quail meadow on the north side of my house. Eliminating invasive species was job one, followed by planting an over winter nurse crop of winter rye. In the spring a seed drill was used to plant 1.5 acres of annual and perennial flowers, as well as a selection of native warm season grasses. The result has been spectacular visually and the wildlife has responded. Besides deer and foxes, we have attracted huge quantities of bees, other insects, and bird life to include hummingbirds, mourning doves, goldfinches, and many other species. Pollination is occurring regularly and the bird life has begun pollinating as well as spreading hundreds of seeds of native plants to the surrounding fields. I strongly recommend planting a wildlife meadow, even if just a modest one, for the good you will be doing to the earth and the pleasure you will receive from the year round beauty of the meadow!
