Thieves!  Shady shady shady!  If you want to be robbed on the servicing of your power equipment, use Smitty’s. Had my 30” Toro TimeMaster there for a belt replacement. “Magically” when I got the mower back, the drive stopped working. They charged me another $65 to check my mower to tell me it wasn’t their fault.  As other reviewers state, your equipment sits outside in the elements.   Also, terrible customer service. Talked down to/talked over several times.

Final comment:  Smitty’s is the Ray’s Corvette Village of mower repair shops (just Google it). Save your money and frustration and go somewhere else.

I have had my mower serviced by Smity's yearly.  I have always found the service to be good.  I would recomment Smitty's as a place to have all of your lawn needs taken care of.

Service Beware: Rude Service Manager and they leave mowers outside un covered while waiting on service work.  Now I have a brand new RUSTY Mower after it sat in the rain for two weeks.

I took my new Honda mower(only 1 mow) in for warranty work.  When I picked it up, I noticed that the washers at the bottom of the engine that secures it to the frame were rusted.  Also noticed the muffler had rust on it.  I talked to the Service Manager of the repair shop and he stated they leave all mowers that come in for service outside.  That is what I figured happened b/c we did have some rain in the three weeks they had my mower.  He was very rude about the fact that I had a problem with rust on my brand new mower.  He also states that All Mowers rust, even the ones that are inside.  He did not offer any compensation or "hey let me make this right(like taking it back inside to get the rust cleaned off and spray a protectant on the affected area's).  Nope, just this was normal for him.  Will take my business somewhere else.  I did notify Honda and they were shocked.  They contacted the Service Manager.  Honda stated he was rude to them too.

These guys are the professionals, that's why I keep coming back here. I've purchased my Stihl Kombi System, my Toro 26" snowblower, and my Husqvarna 455 Rancher chainsaw from Smitty's and have no regrets. You can go hang out at a big box store and be ignored and probably buy a sub-standard consumer-grade model, or do yourself a favor and visit Smitty's. Their repair services are top notch as well. Very knowledgeable sales staff. They make sure you are comfortable with the product before you leave. No high pressure sales. If you've got a large piece of land to maintain, or just need a better grade of equipment, check out Smitty's.

Wonderful experience from start to finish.  They unload my mower when I dropped it off and loaded my lawnmower when I picked it up.  They replaced its carbonator, fix the self propel, and sharpened its blades, they also thoroughly cleaned my mower and filled its gas tank which was not expected.   My mower looks and mows like new again.  Would highly recommend them for anyone who needs work on their mower.

My wife owns a lawn care business and has bought parts and equipment from them over the years. She bought a weedeater from them and it recently started breaking down. The rude man at the repair shop wanted to accuse her of putting straight gas in it that way it wasn't covered under warranty anymore. Just because she's a woman doesn't make her ignorant about her equipment and how to care for it. He was very rude, wouldn't even listen or consider that it wasn't straight gas. Just told her he wasn't going to repair it and bye! The guys at the parts counter have always been welcoming to her and helpful, but this experience with this repair guy is enough for her to take her business elsewhere. This man will ruin a lot of business for them unfortunately. He shouldn't underestimate a woman's knowledge of lawncare equipment and honestly doesn't have the right attitude to be working with customers.

Be careful leaving your mower there.  Dropped it off for a tune-up.  Charged me $65 as a down payment for tune-up ,(no problem,).  Their tech evaluated and determined add'l items that needed to be replaced for  the tune-up.

They called me back the next day and Inormed me Husqvarna discontinued a couple of  the parts ,(again no problem)).  I then asked for a partial refund of the $65 "down payment" and was informed NO, that  conveniently covered the cost diagnosis.  Clearly not what I was told when I dropped it off.

Very sketchy business practice.  Be careful.

I've been a Smitty's customer since I bought my first mower at the age of 14. Over the past 20 years they've been helpful in the sense that they've carried decent equipment and either stocked common parts or could get them quickly. I've always known to stay away from them if you need service/repair, however, I had a salt spreader that had a warranty that just expired and needed service. I coordinated with the manufacturer to ship replacement parts free of charge as long as I brought the spreader in to Smitty's and had them verify the parts needed to be replaced. I called the service department manager to let him know of the arrangement and that I'd be coming in to have it looked at. I brought the spreader in and he asked that I leave it and he would get to it when they could. I politely told him all he needed was to take a few pictures of the damaged parts, send to the manufacturer and I'd be on my way. The manager immediately became hostile and suggest I go elsewhere. After trying to discuss with him the inconvenience it would be to leave my spreader (which is attached to my truck, meaning I'd have to leave my truck) he proceeded to tell me to leave immediately or he would call the cops. This man needs to be immediately removed from a position which his job requires any sort of interaction with customers.

If you want good lawn equipment go to Smitty's.  If you want a good sales experience, go somewhere else.  Sales staff isn't very nice.  They offered less extended warranty than manufacturer website has on the piece of Husqvarna equipment I bought.  Their premix fuel is 50% more expensive than anywhere else in town; I told them that hoping there would be a better offer and guy just said "Uh huh!".  They didn't have the second attachment for the piece of equipment with it when I went in to pick it up, and I had to ask before they went to the back room and got it for me.  And barely a thanks as I paid.  They had what I wanted which is what counts I suppose.....

Arrogant staff, not willing to honor warranty on products still under warranty.  When attempting to discuss my concerns I was immediately given some BS excuse as to why my $1,000 mower that's only a year old wasn't covered for a particular repair under warranty.  Staff seem to hate their jobs and interactions with customers.  This will be the last time I ever do business with these folks.
