Installed an entry sidewalk and sitting area that matched the house vs the generic sidewalk proposed by the builder. Also installed a dining area, outdoor kitchen, and fire pit in the backyard. Extremely usable space created. The designer provided great ideas and was quick to respond. The on-site team works hard, long hours and did a great job on my project.

Topher we greatly appreciate the kind words and we're very glad we were able to help you on the project.

After searching around quite a bit for a local hardscape company to install a paver patio in our backyard, we settled on Smart Scapes. We've been blown away by not only the final product, but by the amazing team we got to work with. Rhianne was fantastic in helping us visualize what we wanted, picking out the right pavers and design, and even helping us add a custom fire pit enclosure and retaining wall. The installation team were here early every day, and stayed late to keep the project on time. Santiago, the project manager, went above and beyond and was responsive to all our questions and requests. What a great experience - highly recommend!!

We hired SmartScapes to design and build a large outdoor space for us - a firepit, dining area and outdoor kitchen. Pros: -From a distance the space looks great and it's highly usable. -The design is fantastic. -While the crew couldn't really speak with us, when we were able to get a hold of our designer/their supervisor they were able to fix most errors quickly after they occurred. Cons: -The space up close is not high quality. The crew who installed pulled out all the stakes after they measured and everything is either crooked or not sloped properly (we get ponding, especially at the bottom of the stairs). The job was supposed to last just over a week, but ended up lasting 5 weeks because the team kept having to rip everything up and redo it multiple times (lack of measuring). -We were very clear from the beginning where the sprinkler line was and we were told it wasn't a problem. The first day the team cut through the sprinkler line and never fixed it properly. -I was told by the designer that they could take care of scheduling the people to install the gas, electric, and water, even though the contract said they couldn't (I have text messages). When they got in site she said that they couldn't do that and I would need to find them myself. After some discussion she was going to find subs but I ended up doing it myself - something I would have done in advance if I had known I needed to. - Scheduling was a nightmare - the date continued to move (as I'm sure it did for those behind us since the job took so long. I would go weeks without hearing anything back or update on when the job could start. We ended up getting shifted from being ready just after the 4th of July to finishing in September Overall this space is one that we use multiple times a week, I would just recommend the team pays better attention to detail and works to get better supervisors so they can maintain a schedule.
