After many years of being a satisfied customer of Preservation tree service, they are now a great customer of mine.  Our Husqvarna saws are helping them keep service levels high and customers happy.

Scott was informative and helpful to work with.  Preservation tree worked with us to get through with this tree trimming before our solar installation on a clients house.  Very impressed with the quality cuts and did a great job cleaning up when they were finished.  Highly recommend this company for your trees!

They came to my house to inspect my trees. Said they couldn't determine whether or not to cut trees down without first charging me for "root flair exposure". Worker came out to perform that job and probably spent half the time on the phone doing nothing. After exposure they determined half the trees had to come down, even calling one "dangerous". Well, I had three other arborists come out and they unanimously agreed that no trees needed to come down. More interested in preserving revenue than trees.

I have lived in Highland Park, Texas for 15 years.  I have been involved in the town's government for over a decade.  Our alley trees are trimmed per the town's decision (and I stress trees only).  On June 26, 2017, Preservation Tree's crew mangled my over decade old Rosemary shrubs that have been hand trimmed ever since and are by my private fence.  They were aggressive towards me, and I was told by one of their workers after confronting them something like.... I would hurt you if I wouldn't lose my job. I felt threatened and their crew lied to police. I was forced to contact the police and report the crew and this specific worker..  I would not recommend this company to anyone in Highland Park, Texas, period.

Hi Sam. We appreciate your comments and want to follow up. First, we want to clarify to all viewers that we were not performing work for you as a customer, but for the city of Highland Park. Under contract with Highland Park, we are obligated, as per page 17, section II, Alternate #1 – Alley Right-Of-Way Clearance of the bid requirements, provided by the Town Manager, to clear all vegetation along the alley area we were hired to prune. You had a stand of established rosemary in the area in question. It was clearly growing beyond the area permitted by the City code. Per the contract, we were actually required to prune it back completely. Because it was clear this was an ornamental planting for you, and one we could see you valued, we only pruned the plants to the edge of the road, instead of cutting them completely down. Again, cutting them down completely was what we were obligated to do by the City. But we were trying to minimize damage to plants we could see you valued.

Clearly, you were upset. You did make that very clear to our employees when you approached them. Now, our employee should have simply listened to you and walked away. But they too felt threatened by the nature of your approach and language, and responded similarly and unprofessionally. Which they should not have done. The employee in question has been duly reprimanded and we apologize for his response to you.

Street and Alley tree and shrub pruning work is often an emotional and contentious situation and we are often confronted by homeowners who do not want to lose plants and trees they value. We completely understand. Balancing right of way through city alleys and power line clearance can be tough when loved established plants are involved. However, in these situations, please know we are obligated to perform the work as outlined in the city contract, and always try to do the work in such a manner so as to do the least amount of damage to the plants.

We are first-time clients of theirs and are not impressed, they definitely did not live up to our expectations. I have called them and am waiting to see what kind of resolution they come up with to fix this botched/rushed job so I will update my review when/if the issues are fixed.
What they did does not look right at all, and they missed things they were supposed to get done.
There is definitely a communication issue between the arborist and the actual work crew. Also, they did not call in advance, broke an item and did not mention it (found it after they left), and moved items without asking- if they had said something we would have moved the items ourselves, it was stuff that you wouldn't have thought would be in the way. We have cameras everywhere so we reviewed the footage when they were done. I was excited to try this company because I had seen good reviews. I hope they make this right, what was done definitely does not match up with the price we paid.  :(

I myself didn’t use the tree service but my neighbor was using them. They cut some small branches down that fell into our yard and went out of the way to ask for access into the back yard for clean up purposes. I appreciate their service to both their customer and the surrounding neighbors. If I need tree services I will definitely be using them.

Had them remove two trees, one if which was over my neighbors house, fence, and electrical lines. They did a great, safe job and cleaned up everything perfectly. Very happy with their work.

We used Preservation Tree Services to remove three trees as part of our landscape updates.
They took out the trees, cleaned up the mess and did not leave until we had approved the work. We highly recommend them!

Preservation Tree is known as being a leader in their industry. Very professional.  We've used them for a very difficult/traffic Uptown home and now they are managing our big old trees and gardens in the burbs.  We love the staff.  Kelsey is a young woman who comes regularly.  She asks about our new growth plants  and never lets the dogs out of the gate.  Very professional and PTS is very lucky to have her.  She takes her time, walks the whole area, doesn't step all over the new turf and we know that when she is done it's a good job.  If you care about your trees and lawn I highly recommend Preservation Tree.

We have worked with Preservation Tree for over ten years and have been very pleased with the results.  We have both large red oaks and live oaks.  What I really enjoy is that when they are through with the pruning you really can only evaluate how much they took off by the limbs on the ground.  The trees do not have that "broccoli cut" look that I do not like.
