My husband hired rocky peak to plant some trees, install fresh curbing and design a new back yard living space for us. Marcus did a great job overseeing the project and was enjoyable to work with.

I hired Rocky Peak landscaping to build a water feature in my back yard and a outdoor kitchen fireplace and built in tramp along with several landscape walls. I was very impressed with the quality of workmanship and the final product. I would recommend Marcus at Rocky peak for all of your landscaping needs. Marcus is very approachable and easy to get ahold of and Jonny on the spot. Marcus even came in with his concrete crew and tied a beautiful side walk with his meticulous rock work! Extremely impressed, Paul

We hired Rocky Peak Landscape to do a major landscaping construction project including retaining walls, 3,800 sf of concrete prep work, fire pit, water feature, and in-ground trampoline. Although they were attentive to our project, almost everything they did on our project was sloppy and had to be redone, which extended the time for completion. They did such an awful job on our sprinkling system and sod that we had to pay a different landscape company over $30,000 to rip everything out and reinstall a new sprinkling system and new sod. We also had to hire a trampoline company to fix the trampoline that Rocky Peak incorrectly installed. We can’t speak of how Rocky Peak does on landscape maintenance, but we know they are run by the same owner, Marcus Allen. At first, he seemed really kind and helpful, but when the project was taking longer and costing him more money (because of the sloppiness and inefficiencies of his workers), he became the biggest pain to deal with and liked to deflect blame for everything. We will say that we are relatively happy with how most everything turned out, except for the irrigation work. But it ultimately cost us way more than it should have in both time and money and it is far from perfect with some wavy parts of the wall and firepit that we have no choice but to live with. We based our initial decision to hire Rocky Peak Landscape in large part on user reviews, so we wouldn’t be doing our part if we didn’t write this review. We do not write this review for the purpose of tearing down this company and we wish any company success if they do the work to deserve it. Needless to say, we do not recommend this company.
Response from the owner
Hey Brian, Thanks again for choosing Rocky Peak Landscape to install your custom landscape. We spent several months on this project and during the final walk through, you and your wife expressed that ultimately you had gotten the service at a fair price and the quality you had hoped for. However, you did mention there were a couple of items you would have liked to have seen preformed differently, but you encouraged us to showcase your project to other customers. Since then, we have been able to successfully demonstrate our work from your landscape job. The retaining wall we installed on your property, water feature, fire pit, 150 + plants, and trampoline have been shown to several more customers since the project was completed to help earn more business. They have all said how great your project looks. As a company, Rocky Peak Landscape takes pride in standing behind our warranty 100%. After the project was completed, this customer was unsatisfied with a few patchy areas of sod. Utah suffers extreme weather and because of this it is very common for new sod to have dry areas. Prior to knowing the cost to replace the sod, he decided to turn off the water source to intentionally kill off all of the sod, knowing it would have to be replaced for an additional cost through Rocky Peak Landscape. Rocky Peak offered to replace all of the sod at a discounted price, however, after he reviewed the estimate, he chose to re-install the sod with a different company at a higher cost. Due to the water source being shut off by the homeowner, and due to a new partnership with a company outside of Rocky Peak Landscape, both of these decisions actually void the warranty of replacing dead sod. Had the water source been left on and the sod were to die, we would have honored our warranty and replaced it as needed. Our crew was dedicated to making your home a special place for you and your family to enjoy. We delivered several thousand dollars in change orders and we did not charge you a single change order fee when we could have according to the written and signed contract. Aside from the sod issues. We enjoyed working with you and your wife during the project and the relationship that we had during that time frame will be missed. Thank you for your time, Rocky Peak Landscape
