  Our house is over 100 years old. The driveway has been a nightmare from the get-go, with broken concrete, washing away, etc. Heavy rains would actually cause water to flow under the house. Another problem was with drainage. Broken gutters for years meant that dirt had bunkered up around the house and the water could not run off. After being on the wait list for two years with that very well known Huntsville Home and Garden Center, I called Sam. He came right out. Gave me a solution and a price. The first project was installing a French drain. The second project was reworking the driveway. He cut out and removed all of the old concrete (probably from the 40’s or 50’s) built a retaining wall from brand new railroad ties, sloped it, and applied road base. Road base is not rock, and will pack down and be a durable surface for years to come. The goal was to get the water to flow out into the city street. After the driveway was finished, we decided the retaining wall needed some dressing up. He came up with a plan using large moss rock, Drift and Knock out roses. When discussing various plants, he was adamant on what would look good with our house. No agaves or yuccas were allowed! You can see how beautifully it turned out. We are beyond pleased with the outcome. Our house had been a rental for years until it became so broken down, it wasn’t rentable anymore and nobody else wanted to fool with it. Sam really gave back to the house in a unique and special way. The other thing they did for us was to reset and level a cement paver walk way that came with the house. You can see from the photo how nice it looks! If you are driving around Oakwood Cemetery or Mance Park Middle School, you can't miss us. We have been through two Huntsville landscapers; one not so famous and the famous. We have thrown good money after bad. Do not call anybody else! Call Rockin' D and get it done right the first time. Also, he carries the hard-to-find excellent quality cedar mulch and other bagged products. No more Home Depot or Home and Garden for me! Rockin’ D is the only way to go!!

  This company caused damage to our back porch hitting it with the lawn mower which I had to fix. They also damaged our water drain cover and replaced the cover with a non matching cover (wrong color). Communication was very poor.

  Rockin' D Services is such an honest, dependable and professional company. They have consistent quality work and are always done in a timely manner. I would recommend them to any one needing lawn care services done!!!
