AVOID THIS PLACE !!!!!!--- My boyfriend, D. Lytle took his lawnmower to have the cut off cable that turns the mower off repaired. After 2 weeks he got a call stating it was fixed and it will be 150.00 but then she tells him the self propell was not working would he like them to fix it? He told them it was working when he took it down there. Lady on the phone was rude and stated well we can look at it. When he arrived to pick the mower up the 150.00 she told him was now 300.00 which he paid. Then before leaving he decided to crank it and screws had been left out of the guard below the deck causing the blade to hit the guard. And to find the self propell is not working. When he asked the lady inside she had the nerve to tell him for another 300.00 they could fix it. AVOID THIS PLACE!!! THEY WILL OVERCHARGE YOU AND YOUR EQUIPMENT WILL NOT BE FIXED.

Go to Rhineharts for Attitude and Disservice, NOT Good Customer Service, Integrity and Veracity If you need service/repairs in the Marion, NC area, based on my recent experiences with Rhineharts, I encourage you to simply search the Internet for [Insert Brand] authorized repair dealers near me and READ their service reviews. Please be advised that this review is simply my perspective based on my experience as shared below. I took a well used Stihl FS110R line trimmer in for service on 15 July 2021. The ONLY presenting issue was a fuel leak when the tank was full and fuel pouring out when the trimmer was turned on its side. OTHERWISE, the trimmer ran & performed WITHOUT issue; I used the trimmer for ~2 hrs every 10 to 14 days to maintain our property. Given the age and value of the trimmer, I asked the lady assisting me at Rhineharts for a call with the diagnosis & estimate to repair (the latter was written within the initial Service Order). I received a call from Rhineharts with the diagnosis & cost to repair, authorized the work and was able to retrieve the Stihl on 18 August 2021. Before accepting delivery, I had the service guy fill the tank, completely, with gas and saw that there was no continuing leak. The Service Order stated within the Work Performed section "replaced fuel tank assembly with fuel cap, fuel filter & fuel hoses." On SAT morning, 20 August, took the Stihl out to do my work. The trimmer started and ran for literally five (5) minutes, then proceeded to lose power under load, attempt to stall unless the throttle continuously manipulated & finally cuts out. WASH, RINSE & REPEAT for 45 minutes or so. I took the Stihl back into Rhineharts on MON, 22 Aug with the original Service Order in hand and shared the fact pattern with the same lady up front. Based on prior similar symptoms with 2 stroke equipment, I suggested either carbon build-up around the exhaust port or a clogged fuel filer. I repeated several times "the Stihl ran fine when I initially brought in and now new issues after 5 minutes of use." I asked for them to take a look the the Stihl and let me know what was going on. As I need this equipment to maintain our property, I asked for expected date to look at the issue and was informed "we will look at it tomorrow." After one (1) week, I called, spoke with the lady and was informed "oh, we had to work on a wiring harness, we'll get to ASAP." Fast forward to today (TH, 16 August)...I am fed up, so I go to Rhineharts with the intention of simply picking up the Stihl and taking elsewhere. I provide the lady with my name and she says "that will be $75." I had received no call with any new diagnosis and stating a(nother) charge to repair and seeking authorization to proceed...much less a call to advise that the equipment was ready. Lady refers me to the owner who states that a "valve issue was found". I inquired of owner why I was not given a call to share what they believe to now be the presenting issue and seeking authorization to proceed. Owner's response was "well, buddy, we had to fix it or it wouldn't run." My reply was "sir, the decision to spend those incremental dollars on this equipment is MY decision, NOT yours." The owner was rude and unwilling to address the lack of authorization before proceeding. We were at an impasse, I told him to keep the equipment and left the premises. My issues are as follows: 1> On first service, Rhineharts repaired the Stihl and "it ran fine" & a value issue presents within 5 minutes of use....REALLY???!!! and 2> Your business in not entitled, service needs to be authorized before proceeding. I refuse to do business with anyone that lacks basic communication skills, integrity and veracity. I will NEVER do any business with these folks again. Sooooooo, folks seeking service/repairs in the area should beware; please read the "lowest Google ratings" and to determine if you see if the above is an isolated occurrence....for folks around here, I hope that it is.
