The best experience I've had with regards to my home. Rich took my thoughts and devised a plan that came in under budget from the other quotes I got by transplanting things I already had while making it easier to maintain. Things could not have worked out better. I am so happy -Enjoying my yard

I have been wanting to write this review for a few years since I worked with Rich / Reflecting Nature. What he did to me and my property is borderline criminal and I am not sure how a person like this can sleep at night, it’s ansolutely disgusting. I was brand new to the North Fork and a first time homeowner and looking for someone I could trust. What I received was complete and utter negligence, horrible work, and basically and entire $100K project that needed to be completely redone over the following years. Every single thing this company did on my property was done inproprerly and without any knowledge. Let me start with the $25K of sod (and insane price to begin with) which died within 2 months of installation due to Rich’s drowning the lawn and causing massive areas of swampiness which grew fungus. I would ask him to come back to the property and show him how the ground literally moved it was so mushy and he still didn’t cut down on the watering. On top of that, he did not grade the lawn or put down top soil (when our soil was mostly clay) so there was no way for the sod to properly take. Years later, you can still pull up the sod like a carpet and we cannot grow a healthy lawn because of the poor soil and because of the improper grading; the lawn is lumpy and hilly instead of flat. Let’s move on to the $15K of privet which has had to be replace twice because it was not planted deep enough and the roots couldn’t take. Privet is the easiest thing to grow in the north fork and he couldn’t do it !! Let’s move on to the stone work which is a complete joke. His idea of putting down pavers is cutting a whole in the lawn and throwing a stone down... no RCA base, no screening. Every landscaper that has seen it has literally laughed at how amateur his work was. The patio of course shifted and moved and the stones cut our feet since they couldn’t remain level with the lawn after being installed poorly. He charged $10K for this horrendous excuse for a patio. The driveway he installed is far too narrow and was installed over old tree roots that has now started killing the trees. He also didn’t properly level or grade the driveway so the gravel doesn’t stay in place and needs to be weeded constantly. He planted a tree in low point of the lawn which got so much water the tree died that same season and I had to plant a new one and add a dry well in the area. Rich offered me no refunds or replacements on any of this. He’s a crook who knows absolutely nothing about landscaping and he should be absolutely ashamed of himself for treating people this way.
