Raks Socorro is my favorite builders supply for all the basics. They almost always have everything I need, and prices are very fair.

Yard Service is bad.. helpers are not helpful n rude

The manager is very helpful and the employees are friendly and informative. The only drawback is there is not a wide range of each type of household diy project items, such as Entry Doors, Toilets, Tiles,  Carpeting, etc..  but overall, a great place to do your shopping for basic home and yard maintenance items.

Even if you don't know the name of what you need, chances are that Keith will figure it out and get you back in business. I really appreciate all the staff's professionalism with Pros and Weekend Warriors (me) alike!

Staff let you shop, but are available if you have questions, which is nice. Very different from the other hardware store in town that "haunt" you and will not let you evaluate your options or browse.

Nice to go to a local store with good service and quality inventory. I do recommend this place and i will go there again.

I've been going to Raks since they were Tremart (over 30 years).  It has all the feel of a small town hardware/lumber store (I hate HD and Lowes).  Some times you have to wait for them to ship in what's needed but what you get is frequently higher quality than the box store.  Just ordered some baltic birch plywood that's better (flatter, better laminate etc) than you can get in the box stores for the same price.
