R and R has been helping me with my lawn for several years. They are efficient, honest & trustworthy. I have never had an issue with the quality of Raymond's work or his associates that work for him. He has been very honest with me and reliable beyond a doubt. I would recommend R and R to anyone who needs excellent lawn care & service!!

I could not have been more pleased with R and R! Raymond gave me wonderful suggestions for low maintenance landscaping, and the work he did was top notch! I look forward to working with R and R again for future landscaping needs.

Raymond is a very nice guy, we thought he'd be a great fit, but he let us down. He didn't back up his word and he didn't honor the guarantee for his work when one of the trees he planted for us died within mere days. We were quoted "about a grand" to plant a palm tree, four 7' green giants, move 3 windmill palms, add to the irrigation system to water the new plantings, and put down some pine straw behind our fence. After getting it all together, it was $1300+. That's been a couple months ago. In the end, we never got our irrigation, one of the trees was clearly dying and one was leaning quite a lot. He'd broken our privacy fence (which he DID admit and repair), and I had to ask him to come back to put matching mulch around the planted palms (there was just big dirt piles left behind), which he DID do. But the other day, I also found that he/his team had broken some stones off our retaining wall behind where the dead tree now stands, but I digress. -- Within a week of planting, the dying tree was all brown. I simply expected a new tree. After all, he'd told my husband to his face that he guaranteed his work - but that apparently wasn't really true. He finally agreed to take the old tree out and plant a new one, that we'd have to pay for of course, and said he'd stake the leaning tree too... at first we didn't want to spend more on the yard, as $1300+ seemed like enough for one summer. So, we thought we'd just do it ourselves, but after a couple weeks and some discussion while on vacation, we decided to give R&R another shot, and just bite the bullet to pay for a new tree. That was about a million messages ago and I've not heard a peep. I eventually even asked him if we just should find someone else, I still got nada. So, it's come to this. I hate to give negative reviews, but I STILL haven't heard anything from Raymond, despite reaching out multiple imes... he sure cashed that check though. Sadly, though I still think he's a generally good guy, I wouldn't recommend him as a landscaper - at least not for larger projects. Which reminds me, he was also going to treat our front lawn for weeds, but that didn't happen either. UPDATE - per Raymond's response to the intial review. Raymond, The ONLY reason I left a negative review is because you ignored me, over and over. Your check was sent AFTER the tree issues started! AFTER. I didn't send it at first, because I didn't think you were done, as I expected you were going to make the tree thing right, AND because I was out of town, which I discussed with you FIRST. And, if you'll recall, I STILL sent it, even though we had an issue in limbo. The extra charge wasn't an issue - if that came off as a complaint, I'm sorry, it was unintentional. I had no problem with that. The first time you came out, and my husband asked you about the guarantee, you said, to his face, "oh yeah, yeah. I want my clients to be satisfied and if you're not, I'll make sure it's made right." You did NOT mention the nursery until AFTER the tree was dead. And you didn't mention the hose until AFTER our initial estimate. Which would have been FINE had As you know, I'm pretty laid back. -- I even gave you the chance to say, "I can't do it." But you didn't. Instead, you ignored me. We paid a lot of money for work that, we feel, was never totally done and all I wanted was a RESPONSE from you. Now, you're trying to make it seem like I was some kind of horrible client, which you and I both know wasn't the case. I STILL think you're a good guy, but you can't ignore clients and expect them to walk away 100% satisfied at the same time. But, because I take no pleasure in bad reviews and have no desire to harm your business, and because I'd rather convince myself you would not ignore me on purpose - If you come out and handle the dead tree as agreed, a paid job, of course, we can call all this a miscommunication or an oversight, bury the hatchet, shake hands and move on with life amicably. I'll delete my reviews and we can start fresh, like it never happened. I'm willing if you're willing.
Response from the owner
I in fact stated that there was no guarantee on the plants, because the nursery does not guarantee the plants, and have proof to show that. The extra charge was for an additional plant that was added after we had first spoke. She told me that she had a drip system for watering, which I did say that I could add to. This was not the case, as she was watering with a soaker hose that could not be added to without purchasing a new one. The checked that "I sure cashed" was recieved four weeks after the bill was sent. I now require payment for materials upon delivery, so that this does not happen to me again. I take pride in what I do as I am sure that the 50 other reviews that I have from various other sources will show my commitment to my customers.
