Had yard drainage done last year. We were told that the grass would grow over the rocks that they placed over the pipe. It’s been a year at this point and we are left with rocks all over our yard in the design that was used to route the pipe. We’ve had 3 people out to look at our yard to build a deck, and the most recent person said they could tell it was Nickett just by the shoddy workmanship, and said that the way rocks are so close to the ground level, that grass will NEVER grow over them. So, yea we majorly regret doing this project with them, and would NEVER use them again, or recommend to anyone else.

Update in response: does this look like the drainage pipes  work?

Hi Kathleen, we are sorry that the grass did not fill in over the drainage stone yet but rest assured, it will fill in. The important part is that the drainage is working as it should.

I just had a first class experience with NIckett Landscaping.  I contracted Nickett for fall cleanup, lawn aeration and seeding, pruning and french drain reconstruction.   From the first phone call the follow-up was OUTSTANDING!  I did not have to chase them once.  Scott the estimator showed up exactly on time, incredibly knowledgeable and very honest about what needed to be done. The estimation, scheduling the work and the actual work were all done at the highest quality level.  This was my first experience and will not be the last.   It is refreshing to find an organization that values follow-up, overall reliability and able to deliver the highest quality work.

They installed an outdoor drainage system, that captures runoff and is also tied into our downspouts. We no longer have flooding and runoff issues even in heavy rain storms.  Then they graded and seeded the lawn, I had to water it but it grew quickly. They also did some river rock stone work and planted an shrub.
The crew that did the work was great and Scott was responsive and easy to work with.  Thanks!

Before you use Nickett this would be worth the read if you are having a decent size project done.

We needed to have new beds, trees, and bushes added to our property. We went with Nickett even though they were on the higher end of companies we had quote (family recommended them who have also since ceased using them because of their own issues with them). The total cost came to over $7K with Nickett. In the first year, three trees dies, and two bushes. They were replaced per contract. Two of the new trees (worth $700) didn't look good with in the first week of being replace, which I raised alarms about and sent pictures to them, I w okas told to keep watering and it was just heat and shock (First two pictures).  Unfortanately, the trees didn't make it. I know we are dealing with living things and get that things die and you can’t help every little thing. Their policy is one warranty replacement so they will not be replacing these trees. The trees have heavy root balls, so after dropping over $7K -  I asked Chris and Scott Nickett if they could pop out their warranty dead trees (which would take less then 15 minutes for 1 guy with their little machine), and was told no they are washing their hands of it, and they would give me pricing to do so. Now I am not one looking for a hand out or arguing for them to replace them, if you check my google reviews you will see this isn't in my nature.  I never even asked them to reseed all the new grass they put down that died in the two months because I realistically get that stuff happens sometimes. These trees that didn't look good at time of replacement should be repectfully popped out by Nickett (last two pictures).

At the end of the day I would not recommend using them, when push comes to shove with trying to keep a customer they aren't interested. Given the chance to do right, they won't and will continue to lose customers.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review.  We are sorry to hear you were not happy with Nickett Landscaping for not removing the stumps for the dead warranty replacement trees.  We strive hard to achieve satisfaction with all of our customers.  We have been servicing the community for 36 years and have won Best of Bucks 4 years in a row.
Nickett Landscaping warranties all plants and tree for 1 year after the date of installation.  Your dead trees and shrubs were replaced in 2019 free of charge for materials and labor.  We are not able to provide an additional warranty on replacement plantings, including the removal of the stumps 2 years after the initial work is done.
We did offer to remove the dead plant material as asked but it would be at cost for the crew, machinery, removal and disposal.  Again, thank you for your feedback.

The absolute worst landscaping company I have ever done business with. In June of 2020 we had multiple plants installed and I've had to pull 3 and replace myself because they died. We also currently are on our 2nd year of a lawn and weed program and continue to have weed problems. They also mail you an invoice along with the invoice left at the door and try to charge you an invoice processing fee. Just bad business all around. Do yourself a favor and try to just do it yourself and save hundreds of dollars or use a more reliable and higher quality company.

Hi Rob, thanks for bringing these issues to our attention. We took a look at your account and saw that we already replaced 2 shrubs which were covered under warranty but have no notes about additional plants that did not make it. If other plants need replacing we are happy to do so. We also have no information on any issues with the lawn treatments in regards to weeds. There’s always a chance that weeds will pop up in between scheduled applications. We provide free spot spraying for all of our application program customers in between treatments. In the future please let us know of any issues or concerns. We do all we can to keep our customers satisfied but we can’t fix something if we don’t know about it.

I contacted Nicketts Landscaping because I had so much water running down a side walkway and onto my new patio and beyond. The previous small drain could not handle the large volume of water and my yard would flood and the water would rise up to my back door. I actually had to shovel water away from the back door so it would not get inside my finished basement. A nightmare indeed! I called Scott and he came out and he was confident and concerned as to my situation. He saw photos of my yard under water and reassured me that he could help. He came up with a plan and when he showed me the estimate, I almost cried! Affordable and not at all what I had expected! I had hope that there was relief for me and my lovely home! Nicketts stayed in constant touch with me and the day of install could not come fast enough. Scott arrived with the crew and they were instructed on what they were to do and the guys were kind, hard working and thoughtful. With all of the digging that was done, I lost 3 small hostas during the process but the guys distributed the leftover soil to areas in my yard that needed it and planted grass seed all over. The grass is present and grown now and the 6 drain system works very well with no issues. I am thrilled and so grateful for Nicketts! Landscaping.

I had used Nickett for several years for mulching my flower beds.  The jobs were good. Not great but they were quick and efficient.  Last year we had landscaping replaced in front of our house and the beds expanded.  Some of the shrubs they recommended did not do well at all.  To date, I've had 4 die. They replaced one but after that I decided I was done with them.  Upon closer inspection, all shrubs were planted poorly - root balls not completely buried, not enough mulch.  Just sloppy workmanship.  And they are not cheap.  Do not think for a moment that because they charge a lot that the quality is there.  In my experience, the opposite is true. I would not recommend them to anybody I know.

I have had Scott and the Nickett Landscaping team out for multiple projects at my home, and clearly by my continued use of their company I have nothing but great things to say.

I've had two major yard drainage projects done at my home. The first one worked so well I had another one added to the other side of my home. Not only does it work great, you'd barely know the crew was there, they take such care to ensure the lawn sees no damage.

I've also had Nickett install a retaining wall and it turned out great. I would highly recommend Nickett Landscaping to anyone.

Nickett Landscaping completed a drainage project for us and raised and refinished our front pavers.  Our paved walkway looks brand new!  We’re very happy with the results!  The drainage was put to the test after a big storm this past week and we didn’t have any lingering puddles!  Previously, our yard would take days to weeks to drain.  We’re very happy with both projects and would definitely recommend Nickett Landscaping to others.  They communicated with us and were very responsive with any questions and concerns along the way!

Nickett's Landscaping is the best!  They are very professional and do beautiful work.  This is the second time I've used them for hardscaping and couldn't be happier.  The crew is extremely appreciative and are very precise.  I HIGHLY recommend them.  Scott and Chris are super attentive and come by and check the work (which they don't need to because they have a fantastic crew).  I couldn't be happier with my front porch (and previous veranda they built).
