  Mease landscaping is like working with your next door neighbor's 13 year old boy. They are unprofessional and insulting at best and understand that their motto should be "Mease comes first and all customers are distance 2nd. I recently sold one of our houses on 3 1/2 acres because for many reasons, I needed to change my life style and downsize. They also cut our other 1.7 acre property in Easton as well. I recently sold one of our houses and had to cancel my services with them. I know it is always hard to loose a client, but what transpired next was truly amazing and insulting. The couple that bought our house for cash had a very aggressive closing date, so I thought it right and professional to give Chris Mease and his wife a heads up that we were not needing their services any more and as always all your calls go right to voicemail because it's more convenient for them. I received no confirmation of my cancellation except for my final invoice that I paid immediately. As house closings normally go, it was delayed so I called Mease Landscaping and got their voicemail and asked if they would cut my grass one more time at this home. I waited for about 2 weeks with no call back or cutting of my lawn. So, I left another voicemail asking if they received my message and if I could promise the new owners that they'd cut the lawn one last time before closing. No response on a few voicemails until Chris' wife finally returned my call weeks later. Remember, Chris and his wife handled all of lawn work and snow removal on both properties for 2 years and I never missed a payment. I got a call back after 2 weeks and after leaving 2-3 voicemails requesting a response. Chris' wife finally called me telling me they wouldn't cut my lawns any more because I abruptly cancelled my service and they don't trust people that are moving to pay for their final invoice. Is that not insulting at any level, but really displays their true character. Needless to say, they put me in a jam before closing on my house. His wife also mentioned that she didn't like that I asked to pay via credit card a few times and her response was always they accept cash and checks only, that's how all our customers pay, really? If you decide to use this company, please save yourself and don't ask for the convenience to pay via credit card because they find customer convenience a bother for them. So, in summary, if you like working with inconsistent, consistently bad surprises, unprofessional lawn care and winter snow removal companies like your neighbors 13 year old boy, you will love this company. Do yourself a favor don't call these guys. One last example of why you need to question working with this company. I asked them to trim some ferns and clean up leaves from our landscape. When I returned I had an invoice waiting for me me for over $450, once again giving me a bad surprise, that a company like this can stay in business without communicating what I was asking for. I really wanted to trust these guys, but time and time again they let me down with poor service, inconvenience and an attitude once they start working for you. It is up to each one of us that need professional services to share good and bad experiences online so unknowing, honest customers don't get taken advantage of like we have. They treated us like they want to treat you instead of the other way around, if you question their services and business conveniences they will make it very tough on you. I always thought the customer comes first, but with Mease they come first any you're a distant second. Do the right thing and avoid this company and if you currently use them, they'll really stick it to you if you cancel their service. Review all services so we can avoid companies like Mease Landscaping.
