I have shopped at McMahan's for several decades. I've never had anything other than a great experience. They are friendly,  knowledgeable and have wonderful produce that is very reasonably priced. Great Christmas shoppin experience too.

Conveniently located on the East Lamar Parkway, ample parking, numerous varieties of live plants for selection.  We found some attractive blooming Mums and nice ornamental Pumpkins for Fall decorations.

How do they manage to stay in business ?
They promise and don't deliver.

We are new to the area and McMahan’s has become our “go to” place for our lawn make over needs. I am so excited to see the summer plants when available. I want to thank McMahans for the quality of their trees & shrubs and their one on one customer care.

We bought some flower plants. Very reasonable price. Also bought some delicious ripe tomatoes. Also bought 8 tomato plants. Since planting what we purchased they are all doing great.

DISHONEST is the least inappropriate word I can use to describe this business and its proprietor.  We spent over a thousand dollars on trees here, which were planted by the McMahan's employees (at an additional cost).  Upon purchase, my wife was told by the owner that there was a 5 month warranty on the trees.  Less than 5 months later, most of the trees are completely dead.  My wife visited McMahan's to discuss the matter with the owner on two occaisions.  On the first occasion, the owner simply told her he would take care of it with no further explanation.  On the second occasion, the owner dismissed my wife with a hateful and unprofessional attitude, basically blaming her for the death of the trees.  You would think that a small business in a small town would want to take care of their customers because as everyone knows, word gets around.  Customer service is not a complicated matter.  Unfortunately, the owner of McMahan's is apparently too ignorant to understand such a simple concept.  Apparently the owner pulled the same stunt with my neighbor.  Do yourself a favor and avoid McMahan's at all cost.  There are much better alternatives around Maryville for landscaping and vegetation.

Well I found my new plant and produce store! Wonderful customer service! I was greeted immediately, received an in depth description of all the plants I was looking at and they even carried them to my car for me.
Picked up perennials and a basket of peaches!
I will definitely be going back for more.

This is where the locals in the area go for great prices on plants and fresh produce.
I've grown their vegetable plants for years with great results, especially with heirlooms!

I love the eggs delivered by local farmers who range feed the chickens. Also many varieties of plants most of them grown in hot houses on sight🥰😊😎

Absolute worst experience I’ve had buying plants (attempting to buy). Supremely disappointed, as I have been a loyal customer for 5-10 years. First time meeting/encountering Mrs McMahan and I was shocked and appalled by her behavior! You’d think a business owner would ask questions first instead of making accusations and being hateful to a customer. YOUR employee took me into the greenhouse area. I was NOT aware that this was not allowed (esp since y’all gave me a tour 3 years ago). I had nearly $400 worth of plants set aside to buy for 4 landscape clients. That business and all my future landscape business will now go to someone else.
