NONstarter, I would suggest that you google 'lawnstarter complaints' before you give them a try - the problems I'm having are common. Unfortunately they left work undone and I am unable to get a call back from them - they charged me $67 anyway with out any discussion for my first supposedly discounted service. I received emails from at least 5 different 'customer service' agents who apparently don't read what you send and are unable to fix the problem. They already have your card number so if you aren't satisfied too bad. Really disappointing. I was excited to have this service but not anymore. As soon as you sign up they will start sending you an offer for a $20 discount if you rate them even before they show up. They give you a two day window and no specific time for when they are coming and don't read your notes. I asked for a call so I could put my dogs up and gave specific directions on the work needing done. Less than an hour went by and I started getting texts for 'how does your lawn look'. They were gone before I could go have a look.

The first team we had was great, they did consistent work for a couple months. Then no show 2 times. Switched to a new team, never showed up. Time to find a new company! Follow up: I would love to contact you; I will be reaching out soon. My husband informed me that he received a response stating that they did not have any available teams in our area. They should have notified us of this a week and a half ago, when the original team stopped showing up. 2nd Follow up 7/21: Katherine did reach out via email 2 days after my first email. At that point we had already found a new company that weeded for free. She stated that she reached out to whatever teams were in my area and offered extra money but no one was able to fit us in. Ultimately, the poor communication and time management deserves a low rating, but I do appreciate her reaching out, so I have updated to a 2 star review instead of 1. Hope others have a better experience.

Called to start lawn service on a Monday. The lady assured me they'd mow by Thursday. They never showed. I called late afternoon to ask where they were and was told it would be Thurs or Fri, which is not what their staff told me. I said to do it Friday then but I would be out of town and I couldn't show them my neighbor's boundry but I figured it wouldn't be hard to decipher. I came back on a Sunday and it wasn't done. No call, no notification until the following Monday. Here's what they said: We’ve worked hard to reach out to as many providers in your area as possible. Sadly, the demand in your area is high and we do not have anyone available to take you on as a customer at this time. - You can't count on LawnStarter. I'm shocked they have a high rating - that has to be manipulated by them (fraud)
