DO NOT I repeat DO NOT use LawnStarter. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever had to deal with in my life. We used them at our old house for a year and didn’t have many issues. The only issues we had were that they would cancel often. Then we moved into our new house and that’s when the trouble started. None of their crews would mow our backyard. They said things like our gate was locked when our gate has never had a lock on it. We called and emailed multiple times and all they did was send a different crew next mow. The same thing would happen, they would not mow our backyard. This went on for over a month. Our backyard had not been mowed in over a month and we had paid LawnStarter for a full mow every time. We contacted LawnStarter and told them it was ridiculous and we deserved some sort compensation for our troubles. We had been paying for complete mows for weeks that were only 50% completed. They said they would give us a $50 refund and they would be sending the “best” crew they had out. Again, our back yard did not get mowed and we did not receive a refund. We called and they told us we were never promised a $50 refund and that we were not entitled to any refund. They asked if we wanted them to send a different crew out to fix the issue and we told them no because it would just end up being the same thing as all the other times. We asked if there was anything they could do to compensate us for all the trouble we had been put through and all they told us was that we were free to cancel at any time. We hung up and got on the app and canceled our service. About an hour later a crew shows up to our house. We didn’t ask for a crew to show up. In fact, we explicitly said we didn’t want a crew to come out. Luckily, this crew did mow our backyard. Now they are trying to charge me for this mow even though we did not ask them to come out and they only mowed the backyard to fix the issue they caused in the first place. It is ridiculous. They are completely lying and saying the mow was scheduled even though it absolutely wasn’t and we canceled our service before they even sent this new crew out. Once again, DO NOT USE LAWNSTARTER. They will do anything they can to cheat you out of your money. They have cost us a fortune in partial mows. They have ZERO respect for their customers. All they care about is money. I have attached a photo of how tall our grass was. If I could give negative stars I would.

Not good. Did not take out a lawn mower to cut the grass. Dot not pick up the leaves. Considering call my bank to cancel payment. I have never seen anything like this before. I usually cut a d do all the edging myself. My wife is sick and I could not do the yard work myself. I will not try any one else. He has ruined it for the rest.

30+ days without a mow! (Long review) I don’t even know where to start. For the first 8 months this service was pretty good. Although the quality of the crew is questionable due to lawn starter being essentially an Uber service and bidding out your lawn for the lowest bidder. But that’s besides the point. When we moved I wanted to continue the service but I experienced something completely different. For over a month my lawn hasn’t been mowed and I’m on a weekly basis! When I contact customer service they can’t give me a good reason why no one is coming out to mow it. They just give my service to a different local person to mow and they don’t show or cancel. One person even said the job was completed and it wasn’t. When I asked today speak to a supervisor they said we don’t have a phone number for them. We send a message to them and they’ll call you within 48 hours. Well I tried that twice and it never happened. I even attempted to contact “Joey” a rep for LawnStarter who usually replies to these google reviews and he never responded to my email or phone call. At this point I just want my lawn mowed so I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and just pay someone local. That’s what we’re doing. Save yourself the headache and disappoint.
