Worst customer service ever! I hired LawnStarter towards the end of last year. We only had another month or so of hot weather. The crew came out and did an amazing job and made my yard look awesome. I ended up putting my account on a seasonal hold because the weather got cold and the grass wasn’t growing. A few days ago was the first grass cut after seasonal hold. The guy came out and once again did a great job of cutting the grass, only this time he blew all of the leaves into a huge pile in the middle of my lawn and left it. It literally looked like it was placed there on purpose of being flat out lazy. I reported the issue and was told they would be out the next day to fix it. They never came. I called and the woman said they sent me an email stating they would not be coming back out because I did not order leaf removal. However the crew I had before never left the leaves in a huge pile. I told them there was no need to leave them in a pile. I wasn’t looking for a “leaf removal” but the lawnmower itself should have picked up the leaves. They tried to charge me even more to fix the problem and was no help. I told them that I did not feel I should have paid for this because it was horrible service but they told me they could not cancel my service until I paid. I finally got them to discount my price and my husband and I had to take care of the pile ourselves. Worst customer service ever! Take your money elsewhere. These people will screw you big time!

Never in my life have I had such a terrible experience with a company. What started as a $19 lawn mowing scheduled for a Friday turned into a weekend long horror show. To start, my scheduled crew requested I leave my gate open to reach the backyard of my home. When I reached out to see what time they would arrive, I did not receive an answer for several hours until I finally got a vague response. Around 6pm he finally arrived (yes, one person not a full crew). My leaves were to be bagged and hauled off in both the front and backyard however, due to time restraints he was only able to complete the front yard before the sun set. He informed me he would be back early Saturday morning and would text when he was on the way- some time between 8 and 9am. 9:45 rolled around and I received a message from him stating the services had gotten reassigned to another crew so he was not able to complete the work. Understandable though frustrating and I do not blame him. However the new crew did not communicate with me until Saturday evening only to ask about the gutter cleaning quote I requested and did not discuss what time they would arrive. Sunday morning rolls around and I ask what time they will be there and again it is not until later in the afternoon- roughly 3pm. At that point, we discuss what work I still need completed which included the remainder of my leaves being hauled off. The crew did not have that on their order and as such would only be able to mow the leaves which I had heaping piles of. I decided to call the (local) LawnStarter company and after speaking with a representative who said they also did not see the order, they informed me I would need to wait until all services were completed to file a complaint. Fast forward and the crew is obviously unable to remove my leaves but completes the other tasks very well. I then receive an email regarding my original complaint about lack of communication that Sunday morning. The representative Krish starts out quite friendly but after explaining my problems and informing them I would like to cancel, they proceed to get progressively more rude and try to tell me the leaf removal was completed. However, with every email they are contradicting their own statements, first saying they wait 3-4 days before charging my credit card until services are finalized and then receiving two notifications from my bank saying they are attempting to process my card. LawnStarter is not trustworthy or honest in their business. They have since claimed that I never called to address my issues though I sent a screenshot showing the number I called and verifying it was correct. I have cancelled my credit card as such as I refuse to pay for services I did not receive. Think wisely before pursuing them, even if you do want the $19 lawn mowing.
