Could not ask for more.  Our prior company was barely doing the work we paid them for.  Once we switched to Lawns of Texas, our property looks like it did when we first installed it.  They call us if they notice an issue before we do.  Great team and great to work with.  We recommend them to any business.

I am a Multi-Family Housing Property Manager in Waco, TX and have had the pleasure of having Lawns of Texas provide landscaping and irrigation services for my site for several years now. Travis and his team do an amazing job of keeping my property looking fabulous at all times and they are extremely professional and friendly. I have had terrible experiences with other companies in the past so it’s refreshing to have a landscape crew I can always count on. I definitely recommend Lawns of Texas if you’re looking for someone reliable to put 110% into your landscaping time after time.

For the past two years we've depended on Lawns of Texas to take care of all our lawn maintenance and landscaping needs.  They have provided superb service throughout this time. We even had them extend our back patio to give us more room for outdoor entertainment.  They installed Belgard pavers to extend the patio and also incorporated a fire pit into the architectural design.  Now we are blessed with a huge outdoor entertainment area throughout the entire year. All of the employees at Lawns of Texas have a positive and professional attitude. If you need lawn service or outdoor landscaping ideas, they are highly recommended.

Called Lawn of Texas because I was concerned about my sod. Samuel immediately came over to take a look. He was so great and helped answer all my questions and gave me a lot of tips. If I ever need any lawn service I would definitely use them!

This company is fantastic. My family wanted a new landscape to update our house as well as have a place to gather with friends and family.  I called four companies and had to leave messages for three of them. Some took days to call back. Lawns of Texas answered immediately set our appointment and showed up on time. When they came out, they listened to what we wanted, then asked us to answer more detailed questions from a form they used. Before they left, they set an appointment for us to come to their office a week later.

When we got to the office we were shocked. We sat in their conference room and watched our design in 3D. It was almost identical to our house and everything we asked for and more was in the design. Because of their questions, they knew what we wanted and gave it to us. Probably because they did nothing but listen and take notes the entire time. The other three companies did not do this. The other companies took weeks for a design and gave us overviewed drawings.  They clearly gave us what they thought we wanted instead of listening to us.  The other three companies were large local landscape companies. This was a night and day difference from Lawns of Texas.

The neatest thing was how the landscape and our outdoor kitchen area looked just like the video when they were finished. Lawns of Texas did not over promise but they sure did over deliver. They are very professional and do an outstanding job.  We have not experienced service like this in a long time.  Sold for life Lawns of Texas. Thank you.

Every time they mow my apartment complex  every vehicle in the parking lot is covered in grass and had been pelted with dirt and rocks.  Complete disregard for other people’s vehicles. at lease the big commercial crew

Fantastic Company.  We are a property management company that has been searching for a landscape company that can handle all of our clients needs, not just a few.  We have had prompt service and responses from them whenever we call.  The properties we manage in Waco receive more compliments on their appearance than any other town in Texas.

We had an irrigation leak for 2 years on one property and we called 5 companies in Waco, no one could find or fix the leak.  Once we called Lawns of Texas, they found the leak and fixed it the first day saving us thousand a year in water bills.  After that experience, Lawns of Texas handles all our Central Texas properties for anything grounds related.

Back Yard Spa!  We wanted a backyard spa look and feel and that is what we have!  This summer we had a new pool put in.  For some reason we called Lawns of Texas prior to the pool being put in and I am glad we did.   They came out,  asked us a few questions then created this awesome design and  video of the back yard.  It was like we were on a TV show recording ...so cool.
During construction, they worked with our pool company for the sprinkler and then once the pool was in, Lawns of Texas came in and added the retaining walls, decking, zen garden, custom waterfall, plants, and stones.  We have had nothing but compliments and I cannot say how happy our family is.  We don't have to leave town, or even our house, to have this spa feel.

I hired this company to keep my well maintained lawn in good shape while out of town for 6 months. I purchased their recommended plan for fertilization.  After a couple months, I noticed that there were patches of areas that appeared to be dying. They advised that it was a lack of iron, and that they would fix that with their next feedings. The dying patches were getting larger and my concerns were not being responded to.(had to leave messages, got few replies) After numerous calls and emails, I finally got ahold of someone in management that did go by and look at my dying lawn. They agreed that it was now in terrible condition. Their response was that I needed a new lawn. I went from a very nice lawn to dead lawn in 6 months thanks to their lack of professionalism. They would not stand behind their so called guarantee at all. The owner told me I would have had to purchase some sort of watering plan, that was never mentioned. I would highly recommend that you stay away from this company. I have to completely re-sod my yard now. I hope this review saves others from my misfortune. Run away from this company as fast as you can.

We have not had the opportunity to speak with you. Pete Rutherford chose one of our Annual Turf Programs.  Pete chose the lowest price Turf Program that only provides basic fertilization.  Pete informed us July 2016 that there were some dead spots on his front yard.  Upon inspection, the turf had a fungus that spread from the neighbors on either side of your house.  The back yard was in worse shape due to the lack of maintenance (mowing), nut grass and the free range chickens in the back yard.  If needed, we can provide pictures of the property from that inspection.  We discussed this with Pete and he said that his son was living in the house while he was out of town.  We asked him if he was watering the yard as instructed after the applications and Pete was not aware.  As a courtesy due to Pete calling twice, we applied a fungicide to help alleviate the fungus for no charge.  We instructed Pete over the phone that the dead thatch would need to be raked up and removed, or the fungus would continue to spread.  We do maintain some of your neighbors properties and our crews noticed that the thatch was never removed.  Unfortunately, if you do not water or maintain your turf constantly, this will weaken the turf making it more susceptible to disease and insects.   The Premium Turf Program that Pete chose will not cause fungus or turf diseases.

In regards to our warranty, the Annual Turf Program Agreement clearly states “*Travis Clark's Lawns of Texas, LLC 100% Satisfaction Guarantee only applies to treatment of your
lawn when you have an active Irrigation Management Program with Travis Clark's Lawns of Texas, LLC.  For questions regarding the Irrigation Management Program, please contact your Sales Associate.”  Pete did not request that we manage your irrigation system.  If the watering instructions are not followed, then the chemical will either not be effective or will be diluted.  If you need a copy of the Annual Turf Program agreement Pete accepted, please let us know and we will provide this to Pete.  We are sorry that the tenant who was staying at Pete’s house did not properly care for the house, however, it is not related to fertilization.

I hope customer service improves. Because I would not recommend them to anyone now. The staff for current customers never answer the phone and the voicemail is always full. It usually takes getting someone in the billing department to send a message  about yard work, since nobody else answers.

They had been mowing our yards for almost three years. I got my own lawnmower fixed and decided to do it myself. So I cancelled service. But they still came to my house.

During that service they knocked lose a gutter after they had cut the cord to my electric gate. I asked them to repair what they had broken. They said that they would not. Instead, they would report me to the city.

It was disappointing that Travis Clark's would damage my property after three years of servicing multiple homes. But it was just plain offensive that they would attempt intimidation by calling the city because I requested them to fix what they broke.

Hamilton, thank you for your review.  We are sorry to hear you feel you had a bad experience.  We are not sure what number or extension you called that had full voicemail.  Our business number and office extension mailboxes will not become full, since they are business lines.

In regards to your cancellation of service, we did receive an email from you after we performed the service.  Our office sent you an email the day prior to your service that we would be out the next day.  You did not respond to that email to let us know you did not want us coming out.  Therefore, service was performed the next day.

As for the damages you claimed, your gutter was not attached properly to the house.  We had a gutter company review the pictures before we responded and they stated that if anyone brushed against it it would have moved.  They suggested having it anchored to the house in at least two locations on the down spout.  The receipt you wanted us to pay for regarding your gate stated damage to an extension cord for your electric gate.   We responded we are not liable for extension cords laying across the ground.  City code requires you to have electrical wiring in conduit or buried to the proper depth.  This prevents our employees from being electrocuted when performing work as plants and turf will easily hide an exposed wire.  If you have any questions on that, please feel free to call your city code enforcement.
