Moved into my new home roughly three years ago and the yard was well kept and looked great. Previous ownership utilized Lawn Managers for years prior to them moving, so I continued using Lawn Managers being that they were familiar with the property. I contacted the office requesting an aeration and over seed last fall, but unfortunately I was a bit late scheduling and all spots were booked up. While being informed all remaining spots were booked, I was advised by office staff that, "We will ensure you are taken care of next fall and do not miss out on the aeration and over seed". I recently received a general note recommending aeration and seeding and to call and schedule my appointment. Being that I was "ensured I would be taken care of", I didn't consider calling immediately. Once I had a break from work and was able to contact the office, I called to schedule the aeration and over seed, but was informed that, yet again, all the spots were filled up. I brought up my previous experience and stated how I was told I would be taken care of this season, but that was not the case. Decided to stop my services due to the lack of consideration and it seemed like they could care less. Thanks for wasting my time. Response: Thank you for your quick response and I understand staffing shortages have effected all businesses. I didn't see a need for "promptness" when I was informed I would have a spot this Fall since I was missed last Fall. Luckily, I was able to find a different company that is going to provide me with a free aeration and seeding for transferring as a new customer.
Response from the owner
Mr. Shelton, We do apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced with our seeding schedule. Unfortunately we were not able to hire any extra crews so that we are able to handle the extra work this Fall. It is an industry wide issue with no one wanting to work, and almost every business in the area is experiencing the same issue. We have had a help wanted add out all year and no one has applied. This is not something we could have predicted would happen and are not happy having to turn away business. We do communicate to our customers how important it is to approve the job as soon as possible when they call to ask for a seeding estimate. We explain that we schedule on a first come first serve basis, and fills very quickly since there is such a small window for fall seeding. It states on the seeding estimate that our schedule fills quickly and is on a first come first serve basis. When we spoke last year we advised that you call as soon as you had the estimate for 2021 because last year our schedule filled in 2 weeks. This year we gave you an estimate on 8/12/21, and unfortunately with the employee shortage, today on 8/27/21 our schedule is full. We were only able to schedule 2/3rds of what we can do normally. It really stinks that you are giving a 1 star review due to staffing issues for a service that is optional and dependent on your promptness to call to schedule with us. I hope you can find a lawn company that meets your expectations.

I used Lawn Managers for years for both my home and business. I was on an annual pre-payment plan and felt like I was pretty long-standing, good paying customer. One confusing email from Office Manager led to now getting bill collectors calling me daily for a measly $60. I'm not paying and I have moved to a much more customer-oriented company. Horrible treatment of a long-standing customer.
Response from the owner
Mr. Arnold, I am sorry for the negative experience with Lawn Managers. We did make several attempts to resolve this issue before referring to a collection agency. To our regret, you have not replied to our statements, letters and reminders regarding your past due account. There comes a time in handling a delinquent account when we have no recourse but to refer it to a collection agency. When this happens, we both lose. We lose your goodwill, a valued customer, as well as a large part of the money. You lose a valuable credit reference, the convenience of your account and a worthwhile service.

They are trying to make me pay for a service the was not agreed to after switching to another lawn service provider and threatening turning me into collection agency. I changed providers since I did not see any improvement in my lawn after 2 years of service.
Response from the owner
Our accounts automatically renew at the beginning of every year. It states that on every invoice left at the time of treatment that you have to call to cancel service. It is very easy to cancel, just email or call the office. We send out a treatment schedule at the end of every year to let our customers know what they will be scheduled for in the next year along with an option to prepay for the years service and receive a discount for doing so. We applied a treatment on Mr. Lyons lawn on March 25, 2021. The next day he called to say he did not want service with Lawn Managers any longer. The account was cancelled, however Mr. Lyons does owe the balance for the treatment performed. Mr. Lyons did let us know he will not be paying for the service and like any unpaid bill it was referred to our collection agency. I can offer to split the bill with Mr. Lyons if he would like to have this matter resolved.
