Signed up for Lawn Doctor roughly 18 months ago. The lawn when I moved in was a disaster roughly 2 years ago - before and after pictures. In. A short period they have started to turn the patchy dirt yard into a green paradise, next year should be even better!

We have been very impressed with Lawn Doctor, overall. Our lawn has never looked better & absolutely has been worth the investment. Additionally, The Lawn Doctor provides us with a detailed report after every visit to highlight their findings, the treatments utilized, and their recommendations. Whenever I have spoken to members of their team, they have been friendly, helpful, and responsive. I would certainly recommend The Lawn Doctor!

This company is terrific...they are always prompt with scheduling and servicing, and do quality work. We hired another company the year before and thought they were horrendous. After switching to Lawn Doctor, we have seen a noticeable improvement in our lawn in one season.
LDSS has a friendly and helpful staff in the office and out in the field...they make things very easy and will happily explain anything you need to understand. Five stars almost isn't enough!

I had ordered the fertilizing and weeding service and also the fall seeding.  After that I realized I needed a new roof and decided to call and forgo the seeding until next year.  I wasn't fast enough and drove home to find them beginning the seeding.  I told them I had planned to cancel that part of the service and they were incredibly kind and helpful.  They cheerfully put back the things they had moved and the seed and equipment telling me it was no problem at all.  What could have been a very embarrassing, if not contentious situation was friendly and easy.  An excellent company to work with - and, despite the no seed, our lawn looks much better since we have started the service.  Wins all around.

well organized and notified by email/text the day before  they were coming.  Recommended by my regular yard clean up people.  I mow the lawn myself.  Lawn Doctor made our lawn look better than ever and I will use them each year going forward.

This was an awful, awful experience. I have never written a bad review about any company ever.   I had used this company for several years and had always had good experience until 2 years ago.   2 years ago I used them to seed my back and side yard after some work was done.  The work was 100% guaranteed, but the grass never grew properly.  After a few weeks when hardly no grass was sprouting I made the decision to have the yard sodded. This cost me an additional $2000.    When they asked me to pay I told them the grass did not grow and I did not think I should have to pay because the grass did not grow and I had to pay to have the yard sodded.   I offered to provide them with receipts of the sod.   They say their work is 100% guaranteed and the bottom line is I had to pay to have someone else do the work.   Anyways they called me several times basically harassing me to pay the bill and every time I told them why I was not paying and offered to send receipts for the sod.  At one point in the process I guess I had said something like "I would take my chances with the seeding" and they repeatedly used those words against me, even though that was not what I meant and that comment was taken out of context.  When they called me they would weaponize my own words and take that out of context comment and argue with me that I should still have to pay even though the grass failed to grow.  It was ridiculous.    I refused to pay only because I had to pay over $2000 to have the area sodded a few weeks later.    Anyways a few weeks ago they reported me to credit collections even though I had not heard from them in months and was very clear when I spoke to them that I was not paying because the grass did not grow.  They used their ability to report to credit as a weapon to force me to pay for a job poorly done.   Then rather than dispute through the collection agency I finally just agreed to pay because it was not worth fighting.  They were in the wrong, but sometimes it is not worth it to fight.   Anyways They then reported the same balance to another collection agency even though I already paid the same balance through the first one!  There is something VERY WRONG AND VERY VERY TOXIC about the south shore wing of this operation and I would  strongly encourage you all to use another lawn care company.

UPDATE: the reply from the owner has three things that are not true. (1) I called them within weeks of the failed seeding to express my disappointment and offered to send receipts for the sodding.  They are a dysfunctional operation so they don’t have records.  The only reason the account got to past due is because I told them I wasn’t paying for grass that didn’t grow and they did nothing to rectify the situation, thus the account went to pats due (2) I spoke on the phone with them at least 3 or 4 times and told them my dissatisfaction and they did NOTHING to address it but try to strong arm me to pay (3) as soon as I was sent to collections I called them and they refused to speak to me to discuss the matter and referred me back to collections.  Rather than fight them further I paid because it’s not worth fighting

I’ll say it again: this is a toxic and dysfunctional operation that did nothing to back up their work. Stay clear!!!!!!

Dennis, we are sorry that you did not have a positive Lawn Doctor experience. This was an unusual and unique situation. To be clear, you ordered a Power Seeding service that we delivered in a standard and professional manner. Our Power Seeding Guarantee states that we will take corrective actions or redo the service at no charge as long as the account is in good standing. Cultivating a new lawn from seed can take time, with many factors (temperature, water, traffic on lawn, etc.) critical to the results. Before the seed had a chance to fully germinate, you decided to install sod. By the time we heard you were unhappy with the results of the seeding, your account had a balance that was 5 months past due.

Over the course of several additional months, we were unable to settle what was agreed upon. As a small, family-owned business, we felt that we were out of options and placed your account in the hands of our third-party collections company. It is unfortunate that we could not resolve this before involving a third party. If you’d like to discuss this further, please feel free to give us a call.

I'm so happy to be back with Lawn Doctor! I'd given the service up to assist our landscaper build his business. Big mistake. Huge! My lawn was a disaster. I saw my neighbor's yard being serviced by Lawn Doctor-and KNEW I had to get back to them. They graciously came last fall,  and began saving my once beautiful lawn! It's nearly back to it's former glory. I'm staying with Lawn Doctor, this time. Professional service, great and well trained employees. I'm always kept posted on the service and schedule. You won't be disappointed!
