  We don’t live permanently on the island but have had a home there for 72 years in the family so we are familiar with years of contractors on the island. So coordinating and driving down 2 hours one way is what we did hiring Gil to take down a tree and stated I wanted the stump and roots completely gone as well and would stay to see it finished. He gave me a price for axing roots and grinding with machine (which we thought might be hard to get in backyard) so we opted to try axing roots and removing tree first. After tree was down and he was struggling to axe the roots out he asked for the money for the tree only on that second day and said he would be back in 4 days with a grinder to get it removed. I told him I’d rather pay for it all when completed because my experience on the island is workers don’t always come back! Plus I’d have to make a second 4 hour round trip! He put it in his invoice that he would come back and I could pay $400 more to get stump out. I agreed to paying for tree removal because his guys did do a wonderful job and they shouldn’t wait just because Gil couldn’t get a grinder right a away. After paying him I knew I’d never get this job finished and sure enough I still have a 10 foot mess of roots and metal fencing tangled in old roots across my backyard. My children nor pets can go back there so we have just not returned and are stuck trying to find someone who will do a small job removing roots and stump of a 70 year old tree!! I’m pleased with Gil removing the tree and his guys were very good… but his lack of professionalism and loyalty or honesty with not answering the phone calls, text messages and ghosting us to finish this renaming small work is what shows true colors! Thanks for leaving us with this mess. This behavior is just like every contractor on the island chasing big dollars and running out ghosting over finishing small work to complete. 4 days turned into 8 weeks now of no word

  I highly recommend Lawn Care Services of Galveston, they provided me with a reasonable bid for my landscaping project, they pulled out all weeds and dead plants from my garden after the freeze, they trimmed my palm trees, planted new shrubs and mulched all the flower beds. It was a great experience making business with them, very friendly personnel. Tom

  They did a beautiful job with our front flower bed. New plants, new queen palm, mulched and new brick edging. Gill is easy to work with. He and his guys are hard workers! Will definitely use them again!!
