Ed was very friendly and knowledgeable about the products he is selling. Unfortunately they have a terrible time getting mower decks therefore you have to wait forever for your much anticipated very expensive tractor to the point to where you just decide if it takes this long for a deck how long could I be stranded in the busy season. And you end up backing out....to expensive to wait forever. If it takes this long to buy it. I can only imagine how long parts take sadly. Get with it Deere!

I wish I could give them 6 stars. A couple years ago I bought a cheap tractor from a big box. Pimply faced kid who didn't know anything about the tractor rang up the sale. He sent me to the loading dock and off I went. That tractor was garbage. So was the experience. My first interface was with Valley Ag & Turf's with with their service department. I tried to get help on my cheap red tractor. (notice: Valley Ag & Turf actually HAS a service department). The service department offered some reasonable advice. But, by that time I was so mad at my cheap red tractor that I decided not to take their advice - and just buy a new John Deere tractor in the spring. The sales GUY ;) was very knowledgeable. It was very clear that he is a professional who knows his stuff inside and out / back to front. I told him about my problems with my cheap red tractor. He listened and he had very good reasons to go with a higher model than originally discussed. I went with the X380. There was some time between the initial discussion and when I wanted to buy the tractor. There was always quick response to questions. When the time came, he delivered the tractor to my house. Then he actually took the time to go over several items at that time. First class experience all around. It's the level of service I expect when buying a car. Not a lawn tractor. The difference between the two experiences (Big Box vs. Valley Ag & Turf) is night and day. Do yourself a favor. Don't try to save a few bucks going to the big box. Just go straight to Valley Ag and Turf. Save yourself some aggravation and get a good tractor.

I purchased my first John Deere tractor (1025R) from Valley Ag and Turf in Harrisburg. The sales person was very helpful but not pushy. Service has been great as well. Even though they are not my closest dealer the way I am treated there is why I will keep coming back.
